"so uhm, i forgot to ask but... are we still racing?" hoseok asked after he had calmed down.

jungkook straightened up and shrugged.

"i dunno, if you want to i guess?"

"but didn't you have a streak going? were you keeping track of the scores then?" hoseok asks jokingly.

"actually uhm, yeah... the score right now is 2 to 23," the younger boy nodded sheepishly with a slight blush, which only made the older laugh again.

"seriously? oh my god that's so adorable," he smiled widely as he ruffled the younger's hair, making jungkook blush even more, biting his lip shyly before changing the topic.

"a-anyway, if you don't mind, uhm... can we walk to school together from now on?" the boy asked shyly.

"of course!" the older responded, then stopped himself.

"are you sure you don't want to get your streak back though?" he asked.

jungkook shook his head with a sly smile.

"it's alright, i would rather spend time with you than worry about beating you across the street." the younger added a wink at the end of his sentence which left the older at a loss for words with a slight blush spreading over his flawless cheeks.

"c'mon sunbae, we still have to get to school." he added on while jerking his head in the direction of the campus, resisting his urge to grab hoseok's hand and lace their fingers together to drag the older along with him.
