last chapter !!

it had been a week since the kiss, and after their awkward acknowledgment of it, it hadn't really been addressed between the two, but it had always been on their minds. 

they had been testing their limits all week, taking turns seeing how close they could get to each other all week. 

their friends noticed but chose not to say anything in favor of letting them work things out between themselves. 

it was friday again, jungkook and hoseok were walking back to the station on their way home from school. 

hoseok was talking animatedly to him about some choreography he was working on for an upcoming show as they approached the crosswalk outside the station, where they began to cross the street. 

the older boy was so engrossed in their conversation with his mini-demonstrations of everything he was telling the younger that he didn't notice a large truck speeding up towards them, about to run the red light. 

luckily for them, jungkook noticed, quickly reacting and grabbing hoseok's hand, pulling him back roughly into his slightly larger body. 

hoseok gasped, the truck zooming past the two as jungkook gripped his hip with his arm wrapped around his waist tightly, and he felt his heart thumping loudly against the younger boy's chest, his face flushing from the shock of the situation they were in. 

he knew he should have been more concerned about almost getting hit by the truck, but all he could think about was jungkook's body against his and his strong grip on his hip. 

before he could even thank the taller boy, jungkook pulled away and looked at hoseok with a smirk. 

"hey... hoseok hyung, will you be my boyfriend...?" he asks, and hoseok's eyes widened. 

he was not ready for that question. 

if he wasn't shook before, he certainly was now. 

he stared at the boy who he had grown so attached to over the last few months, the butterflies erupting in his tummy as his heart rate accelerated even more, a big goofy grin taking over his face. 

"oh my- yes!" he practically yelled, making the younger smile like an idiot and hold him tighter as both of their hearts soared with joy. 

before either of them could process what jungkook was doing, he leaned down, locking his lips with hoseok's in a sweet yet passionate kiss which the older returned immediately, hugging and practically jumping onto the younger as he did so. 

it was only when a car started honking at them that they realized that they were still in the middle of the street.
