"Hey."

Delilah looked up from some paperwork and her brows furrowed in confusion as Jax stood before her from her office at Cara Cara.

It was her first official week back full-time. It had been a busy week and she was missing her boy tremendously. She knew her Uncle was getting annoyed by her constant checks in on her baby boy. However, she is shocked to find Jax in her office as he didn't really make the trips to Cara Cara.

"Is everything okay?" She asked worriedly.

Jax nodded his head as he stepped fully into her office and closed the door. "I have to head to Nevada."

"Okay," Delilah said confused. "Can I ask why?"

Jax pursed his lips, "ATF is in town and we need to store our guns somewhere."

"Should I be worried?"

Jax shook his head. He smiled. "It's just Hale being Hale."

"How long will you be gone?"

"A day at most." He promised.

Delilah nodded her head. She captured her bottom lip between her teeth. A day wasn't long at all, but this would be the first run he would have gone on since Abel's birth.

"Hey, you okay with this?" Jax asked, concerned.

Delilah rubbed her forehead and sighed, "Yeah. Just be careful."

Jax didn't press. Instead, he walked over to her desk and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. He went to pull away, but she leaned for more, which caused him to smile against her lips. He pressed another one to her lips. "There will be more when I come back," he promised.

"Promises, promises," Delilah muttered.

"Love you."

"Love you too," Delilah replied.

...

Delilah was in the middle of making sure all the workers had their updated health documents when a knock came at the door.

"It's open," she called out.

Walking into her office it was Lyla. "Hey." Delilah greeted.

"How's your week been?"

"Good. Just going over the health checks again." Delilah informed her. It was tedious work that Delilah didn't think that she would miss. Yet, she did and she was already brewing with ideas to expand Cara Cara when it came to merchandise and their online presence in general.

"Seen Jax visit for the first time in forever," Lyla pointed out.

Delilah rolled her eyes. "No gossip there."

Lyla smiled. "I know, but it's nice seeing you happy."

"I'm sure Ima is plotting my demise as we speak."

Lyla laughed. "Doing anything after work."

Delilah shook her head. "No. It will just be Abel and me tonight."

"No, Jax?"

"He is going on a run."

"Run?"

"Yeah, it's when they go out of town to visit other charters or friends," Delilah explained.

"They all do this?"

"It sometimes just depends on what the run is for." Delilah finished going over her health list and sent an email to the few that were due for a new one as well as printing out a copy to place in their mailbox. "What are you and Piper doing for dinner?"
