Waking up in the guest room, Delilah tiptoed to the main bedroom. She knew she shouldn't be, but she was surprised and hurt to find it empty. In fact, she found the whole house empty.

She thought it hurt her more than she realized that Jax would leave without even trying to mend anything with her. For the first time since Jax had voiced his concerns – tried to push her away in the kitchen – she really thought about his words.

It seemed he was intent on pushing and pushing her further away. Maybe Jax was starting to have a point. However, she didn't see the need to keep trying to cling to something especially with Jax keeping her at a distance from grabbing it.

And since becoming a parent and being with Jax, she had doubts.

She wondered if she and Jax maybe took a big misstep in jumping into a romantic relationship especially with the kids involved. If anything Jax was always her friend first and she would hate to lose that because they couldn't recover from this. She knew that if things ended it wouldn't go back to how things were before.

Delilah's hand trailed down to her stomach which felt more bloated than anything. She wondered how what was happening now will affect her family. Despite him knowing, they've yet to talk about what this meant. How if they didn't find Abel, this second child would only be a reminder of their lost firstborn. How she failed to protect Abel.

Delilah shook her head. She's been on her own for most of her life. She didn't need Jax and if shit didn't work out between them she would be fine either way. She had her brother, uncle and Isla. She had her career.

Being a single mother wasn't the end of the world.

...

With her head held high, Rosie got ready for her first day back at St. Thomas. Before beginning her round, she made a detour to see Gemma. She found the matriarch in bed watching the news.

"Morning," she greeted as she carried coffee, which she brought from home just for her.

"Well, aren't you spoiling me," Gemma said as she took a sip and moaned as the liquid hit her taste buds.

Rosie smiled and she sat down and began to eat the breakfast sandwich she bought for herself. She quickly devoured the sandwich and was working on the second one when she found Gemma staring at her.

"What?" Rosie questioned.

"A lot of shit went down in Oregon, just checking in."

Rosie sighed. "Can't dwell on it. Shit happened. Just worried for Del and Jax."

Gemma nodded. "Well, we got a lead. So hopefully my grandson will be home soon."

"Do you know what is going on with your deal?" Rosie inquired. Gemma was still handcuffed to a bed and she wasn't surprised they didn't cart her off to Stockton.

"No, nothing yet."

Rosie reached out and grabbed her head. "We'll get through this."

...

Rosie was walking down the hallway of St. Thomas when Juice came up looking perturbed.

"Everything okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, the club needs to just figure out something." He told her.

"Like what?" She pressed.

Juice looked at her and she could tell he was contemplating on telling her. Whatever argument he had in his head seemed to conclude there was no harm and he pulled her to a waiting room that was empty.
