Boys and girls,
Ladies and gentlemen,
I deliver some surprising news.
People are not products.More specifically the average teenager.
You claim you offer your opinion,
Because apparently somehow your
Sugar-licked lips spew out helpful tips
As if you care for anyone's betterment.I know it's quite a shock,
That your commentary might actually hurt somehow.
Especially about someone's body.Your words are like
Invisible scissors that try to snip away
Fat from their body, only they are
The ones driven to the blade.Because of these "helpful tips"
The word "fat" is treated as a curse word,
Synonymous to disgusting, unhealthy....ugly.But just like a fat person can be unhealthy,
So can skinny people.
The unhealthy assumption that leaves
Fat people under observation
And the thin ignored. But why does the extra layer matter
When what apparently matters
Is the inside. The same people who preach
"Beauty is only skin deep"
Are the same ones who
Nick and prick at innocent bodies. As if we were born to satisfy others.
Told how to live and fix our own body.
A little pathetic isn't it?We were meant to make ourselves happy,
Not anyone else.
