Chaper twenty two

Marzia pov

The rest of the day yesterday I stayed in my room crying. Felix tried coming in to cheer me up but I would let him in. I didn't want to see anybody, I didn't even eat dinner. Thank god it's Saturday because I was not in the mood of going to school. I woke up at 10 am and decided I should eat something. I got up brushed my hair and opened the door and  Felix falls down.

M-"Felix? What are you doing?" He groans and rubs his head.

F-"Well you wouldn't let me in so I decided to sleep out here."

I just roll my eyes and head up stairs.

F-"Wait Marzia."

M-"What do you want Felix?"

F-"Why are you mad at me? I didn't do anything bad."

M-"I just want to be alone. I don't think I can just another guy."

F-"Marzia. He was your first boyfriend. The first person you date isn't going to be the one who you're gonna be with your whole life. Maybe the right guy is right in front of you and you don't know because you're still thinking of your jerk ex boyfriend."  I just stare at him he starts to lean in then...

BOOM

M-"Felix what was that?"

F-"I don't know. Quick lets go upstairs and get Edgar and Maya." We run upstairs and grab the pugs. "Let me call mom real quick."

M-"Ok. Put her on speaker."

~dials phone~

Felix pov

MK-"Felix! I was just about to call you. Are you guys okay."

F-"yeah mom we're fine. What was the boom?"

MK-"I don't don't know but their investigating. But from what I'm hearing on the news, it could have been a bomb." I turn to face Marzia but she was on the floor. "Marzia?!"

MK-"Honey what's wrong with Marzia?"

F-"I don't know it looks like she fainted."

MK-"Quick sweetie put her on the bed or couch and give her water. I can't go home yet, they told everyone to stay indoors. Fe-...ca-...-ou.."

F-"Mom? MOM?! I CANT HEAR YOU! MOM?!"

The line cuts off and I pick up Marzia and put her on the couch the pugs surround her and try licking her face. I get up and get to water. I run back to her and I start slashing her face. I see her slowly open her eyes and she gets up quick and puts a hand on her head.

M-"ow. What happened?"

F-"You fainted. Are you okay. Here drink this water, mom said she can't leave because the news told everyone to stay indoors."

M-"I-I got flash backs."

F-"Flashbacks of what?"

M-"I was little and I was at the park and Maya was still a puppy and I hear a boom and my dad grabbed me and we started running."

F-"Wait Marzia. Do you know why you and your family got here?"

M-"Yeah. There was bombs everywhere." She starts crying. "Felix what if it's happing here?"

F-"No. Maybe the military accidentally set one off."

~phone rings~

F-"It's mom. Mom?"

MK-"Oh thank god it works now. Is Maria up?"
