Clary's POV

"Hey, Clary." I smiled as Izzy walked in, smiling at the sight of Simon asleep on the couch.

"Hi, Iz." I held onto my little girl as we were still doing that skin to skin thing.

"So, I wanted to talk to you about the wedding." I nodded and she sat down at the end of the bed with me. "Okay, well, Simon and I have talked and we want it to be soon, not like waiting a year after you get engaged to actually get married."

"Okay. When do you want to do it?"

"Um, in three months?" My eyes went wide. "I know, I know. But, I was wondering if you'll be able to travel with the baby that soon. Because we want to have the wedding in Hawaii."

"I dunno. We could ask my doctor." As if on cue, he walked in and smiled.

"Everything going okay with the skin to skin?" I nodded.

"Yeah, we're good. But, I've got a question for you." He nodded, waiting. "Can I travel to Hawaii in three months with Lily? Or no?"

"Well, I'd say that as long as you keep her out of the ocean, she should be just fine. Vacationing already?" He joked.

"Nope. My two best friends are getting married there. Iz, Dr. Williams." They shook hands.

"Congratulations on your engagement."

"Thanks." Izzy said.

"How's that baby girl of yours? She doing okay?" I nodded.

"Been sleeping most of the time."

"That's normal. I'll be back in the morning to check on you." I sighed and nodded.

"Clare, let me take Lily, you need to sleep."

"No, we need to keep doing the skin-to-skin. It's good for her."

"Clary, you've been doing it for hours, I think you can finally call it a night. Give me the baby and she can get to know her Aunt Izzy."

"But-"

"No. Give me the baby. You can have her back in two hours to breastfeed, then you give her back." I sighed and kissed Lily's head before handing her off to Izzy.

"Put her in the pink pajamas, please." She nodded and I cuddled into the blanket before drifting off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Princess, you have to let us help you. You can't do everything on your own." It's been three weeks since I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl and I've been so stressed.
But, at the same time, I feel like I have to do everything by myself because I'm a single mother.
"Yes I can, I have to." I continued to fold baby clothes as I sit on my couch.
"Why? Why do you think that you have to do everything by yourself? You have all of us at your disposal and you're not using us." I sighed.
"I need to know that I can so this on my own, daddy. I am a single parent to my little girl and I don't want to mess up. It has to be perfect." He chuckled and sat down beside me, pulling me into his side.
"Baby girl, I hate to break it to you, but parenting your child will never be perfect. You will make some mistakes and you will hit a few bumps along the way, but you are and always will be an amazing mother. But you have to let yourself take a break every once and a while and let us help. Let us babysit while you go out and party."
"Fine. I'll call Izzy and we'll go out to a club or something." He smiled and nodded.
"Good girl."
This chapter is extremely short, I know! Don't kill me! I just want to start the next idea in another chapter.
