Brandon:
I wasn't paying attention to the road when Jude yelled something I quickly snapped back to the road, slamming on the breaks, as my body jolted forward and pain ran throughout my body from my side.
I look to my side to see that Jude is okay, but staring at the road terrified. I refused to look up.
"Did I hit him?" I said closeing my eyes again. Why was he standing in the middle of the god damn road in the first place?
"Ha, I wish". Jude wasn't joking around.
I look up into the road to see him perfectly fine, staring into the car. I lock the car doors, refusing to get out of the car.
"Jude, I can't get out". I grip my side in pain, staring at Jude.
Jude's eyes follow my hand and he gets a concerning look on his face, one a lot like Callie's. "What happened?"
I pulled my shirt up to show the bruise on my side and I can see it getting bigger. I look back up at Jude who was wide eyed.
"What the hell? Why didn't you go to the hospital!" Jude yelled, just I stared at the kid surprised by his harsh language.
"Excuse you. You dont talk like that". I stared at Jude then looked back up the road to see that he wasn't going to budge.
I spoke to soon, the moment I look up he was walking extremely fast towards Jude's side of the car. Jude gets a scared look in his eyes, one I could bare to see.
"What are we going to do?" He questioned, still with the scared look.
"Get out off here". I waited until he was at Jude's door, until hitting the gas and swevring the car away from him.
Jude's eyes go back to his happy self and I took a deep breathe, watching Liam running after us out of the rearview mirror. I picked up speed and took a few extra turns to make sure that he didn't find out where we lived.
"We should really get you to a hosptial". Jude got back onto the topic. I thought about his surprise.
"I have to get home first". I smiled at Jude, before taking the last turn to my house.
We walk in and I grabbed a bag of Munchies before telling Jude we'd start with his homework. He complained a little but he quickly got over it.
We watched tv while working on his math homework, I help and made somethings easier.
"Well, 60 times 25 goes over the 100" I finished explaining as Jude continued to write it down.
When he got the answer he looked up and smiled at me again. "Thanks! I'm gonna take a quick bathroom break"
I watched Jude as he walked into the bathroom and that's when I heard my mom's car doors slam. I start to freak out a little bit with Jude being in the bathroom and Callie quickly enters the room.
"Hey," She smiled, making part of me melt.
"Um.. hi" I forced a smile when I notice Callie's eyes on my leg. I look down to see my leg bouncing and I force myself to take some breathes, calming myself down.
"Are you okay?" She asked, still having her eyes locked on my leg.
"Um, yeah. Why do you ask?" I awkwardly say, when I notice my leg bouncing again. I hadn't even noticed it started.
"Forget it," Callie says in a way that I quickly understood. She was mad at me. She rushed up the stairs and slammed the door to her room. I cringed the smallest bit before Jude walked out.
"What was that?" He asked looking up the stair well.
"Um, nothing". I forced a smile and Jude seemed to notice. I was a really bad lair.
Jude shrugged before returning to his spot next to me on the couch.
A while later I heard someone walk into the kitchen.
"Hey, Jude. I'm gonna go check something out. I'll be right back" I stand up making my way to the kitchen.
I see Callie and I can sense that the little bit of time spent in her room didn't help with her temper towards me so I tried the next possible thing.
"Callie, can we talk?" I said, hoping for the besy but expecting the worst.
"No," I could tell just by the tone in her voice that she wasn't going to get over this one to easy.
"Well.." I paused whn I heard Jude walking towards us. " I think we need to".
"Callie?" Jude questioned the mintue he saw her. He had that crack in his voice, the kind you get right before crying. It crushed my heart to hear it.
"Jude.." Callie replied with the same crack in her voice. "We need to talk."
I freeze the smallest bit before turning towards Jude. He didn't take a single step just continued to stare at Callie's amazing features.
"Alright," Jude says, taking a stool and sitting in it, staring at Callie until she begins.
She takes a single step forward to Jude, setting her elbows on counter. I lend my back against the wall, waiting for her to start.
"Um, alright. Well Jude, I dont know if you remember the day mom gave me that important paper that I couldn't lose. Do you remember?" She seemed angry and sad at the same time. Jude nodded and she continued. "Well you remember how I started by just puting it under my mattress? Well the day the cops came I got scared so I hide it somewhere new. I put it in our secret playroom, between our rooms. I taped it under one of the drawers.."
Jude interupted "Callie, get to the point"
"Well.. um" Callie's eyes shined into mine and I gave her a reassuring nod. "It was our mother's will and well it's missing".
Jude quickly looked down into his lap, I figured it was from disappointment but I couldn't be sure. Callie stood up and gave Jude a hug. They whisper in each others ears before heading to the couch. I stare out the window, thinking what may of happened to the will. Jesus came downstairs giving me the slightest push. I fell to the ground in pain and the next thing I knew I was blacked out.
