Silence was everywhere, but the sounds of snores escaped the sleeping creatures within the walls of the Goblin Kingdom. Only one being was awake, and he usually was at this late hour.
Lounged in his throne, in the dark and alone, Jareth held a crystal on the top of his finger as he watched the little pre-school girl play amongst the other children. He couldn't help but smile at the girl's protection of her little red book, stuffed inside her jacket pocket. When it nearly fell out, she paused to stuff it back in.
As creepy and disgusted as he should feel, watching a little girl, he felt nothing but happiness. Jareth wanted nothing pervy with her, but he instead just wanted to teach her Fae magic. He wanted to be her teacher when he realized how fascinated she was with magic and otherworldly things. He saw potential.
Jareth continued to watch the little girl, all until the rooster called and made him snap his head up. He'd realized it was dawn, and a sudden wave of tiredness washed over him. He stood and stretched, popping the glass crystal and watching it turn into tiny little bubble-like pieces.
Once Jareth had the girl in his world, he would teach her everything; as much as her head could hold. Something inside Jareth gave him the urge to teach someone the Fae magic, and he was going to do all he could to fulfill that urge. He wanted to be a teacher. A mentor. Gods know he would never teach his goblin subjects anything.
The Goblin King sauntered to his chambers, leather-clad hands clasped behind his back. His castle was silent, giving off a small vibe of loneliness. That was the downside to becoming a king; the loneliness. Jareth could no longer socialize as he would in his younger, more free days. And there were a million reasons why.
Entering his large chambers, Jareth waved his hand and exchanged his day clothing for more comfortable linens. He only hoped that as he slept, he would wake to find the darling girl an appropriate age to bring her to his world. But he had a long wait ahead.

I don't exactly count this as a new book, since it's just an updated and more better written version of my older book. Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this updated version of "Lost And Lonely" as much as the original!! I have mixed feelings about publishing this, because I'm afraid it won't get as much attention as the other version, but I'll give it a go!
I'm also gonna challenge myself and try my absolute hardest to write a chapter a day for this book, since I did it with the original.
Also yesterday (the 20th) was my birthday! weEOOO!
I am legal adult now. Please kill me.
