Jareth is a grumpy, broody, lonely Goblin King, searching for his future companio...
With Jareth's heart found and claimed, he no longer felt such anxiety when leaving the kingdom for a few short days. Now he could take Raven to the great city they tried to go to before.
The shard now pumped strong within her own heart in her breast, and it seemed to have given new life. Raven felt more alive, and more complete and content. They both now felt each other's emotions; and they were ecstatic.
"Are we almost there yet?" She sighed.
"Almost."
"I never realized how long this ride really was..."
"Well, last time you were caught up in being a forest and landscape expert." Jareth grinned. She playfully pouted and sat back, leaning against Jareth's side and slowly dozing off.
Before she knew it, Raven woke up to seeing that they had finally reached the grand city Jareth was so eager to bring her to. The city was bright and so clean, almost as if the Fae there took immense care of their home. Her eyes lit up and her gaze was turned to a tall castle deep in the region. Most of the Fae people in this city wore bright colors, pastel almost.
"Woah..." She said breathlessly.
---
"So this is she?" The tall woman's eyes lit up with a smile forming on her plump red lips. She reached out and embraced Raven with a tight hug, which caught her heavily off guard; she wasn't used to such affection.
"Please, May, don't squeeze the life out of the poor thing!" The tall man chuckled next to Jareth- Garret, she thought his name was. The Goblin King's father. May pulled back and flipped her thick brunette locks.
"I'm not squeezing her." May grinned. "I was merely showing affection."
"Well, I'm at least glad you like her." Jareth held his head up high, almost proud of himself. Truthfully, he really was very happy with the girl he chose to court.
After the meet-and-greet with the king and queen of the White City- Jareth's own parents- Raven and Jareth walked arm-in-arm through the large castle. It was seemingly bigger than Jareth's, but Raven hadn't yet even fully explored the whole Goblin Castle. She was excited to learn where Jareth grew up, and more importantly where he came from.
He could feel the excitement in her, as he felt her heart beating quick with anticipation to learn. Jareth couldn't get rid of the plastered grin on his face. Even through dinner, he tried hard to keep himself from looking so dumbstruck.
But an odd feeling inside his gut told him something was off, and he hoped to the gods that Raven couldn't feel what he was feeling.

I'll admit, this was pushed out as mainly boring filler to get us to the next chapter, sssoooo...forgive me. The next chapter will be better. And longer.
