18) Just Another Day

Slowly awaking to soft snores and slow motions causing her head to move up and down, Raven was curious about the hammock she was on. She didn't at all remember it "breathing" and "snoring" the day before. Slowly lifting her head, she saw that her head was indeed on the chest of the Goblin King; deep asleep with his elbow nearly hanging off the edge of the hammock.

Raven had then remembered that after Jareth confessed, some small-talk happened before she started to doze off, resulting in her drowsily inviting him to join her as long nothing happened. Was she really that out of it to invite the Goblin King to sleep with her? Even though nothing happened, it was still a small shock to wake up with him.

Slowly sitting up, careful to not flip over the hammock, Raven yawned and groaned of utter exhaustion, feeling that today would be a lazy day.

"Moooorning." Jareth yawned and grinned toothily up at the tired Fae girl.

"Hi." She spoke dopily.

"Sleep well?" Jareth smiled as wide as ever.

"I slept alright, I guess." Raven attempted to see if she could offend him.

"Oh? Just "alright"?"

"Mhmm."

"Hm, alright..." He looked down.

"...oh, alright." Raven rolled her eyes playfully. "I slept rather well. Happy?" Then Jareth grinned,

"Very. What shall we do for today? More practice?"

"I'm exhausted, Jareth." She whined. "Tomorrow? I just kinda wanna kick back again today. Y'know, just another day of relaxing."

"Mm, I suppose. But tomorrow we'll have to double up-"

"Ugh, alright. Fine." She fell back against Jareth's legs and groaned. They laid in silence, listening to the morning birds flutter around and sing as they did. As cliché as everything seemed, they found themselves enjoying the calmness of everything.

Jareth began to tap a stick against the tree behind him, creating a small tune. Raven picked up his tune and started to come up with small lyrics,

"...I could learn a thing or two, about relaxing... And after all it's just another day..."
