Opening her eyes slowly, squinting at the small candle light in the dark room, Raven groaned groggily and hissed at the rising pain in her side.

"Fucker..." She mumbled, removing the feather-filled duvet and lifting the hem of her shirt. A soft knock startled her and she nearly backed against the headboard of the plush bed.

"May I come in?" The door slowly opened, a head of wild hair peaking through. It took Raven a moment to realize who was at the door.

"Y-yeah, come in." Her voice cracked.

The Goblin King sauntered in, wearing dark colors. His grey pants were traded for a black pair, and his usual white poet shirt was traded for a black and crimson vest-shirt combo.

"How are you feeling, dearest?"

"Like hell."

"I figured as much." He raised his brows. "Let me see." Jareth gestured. Raven gave him an odd look in response, slowly lifting the side of her shirt to show the injury.

"What happened?" She asked.

"You blacked out. Did you impale yourself on anything in the Junkyard? I saw you slip at least a dozen times." The Goblin King spoke as he inspected the bandaged area.

"Uh..." Raven thought hard. "I remember feeling a pain sharper than the other times I fell."

"There we have it. The wound must've become infected by something; lots of the items in the Junkyard are dirty, so you've most likely caught something." He cleaned out the crusted blood, replacing the bandage. "I managed to clean it out though before the real harm was done."

"All that while I was blacked out?"

"Mhmm."

I...I- uh, thank you...Goblin King..." Raven muttered.

"You're welcome." He looked up and smiled rather sweetly. "And you can call me Jareth, dear. Also, you've missed dinner, can I get you anything?" Jareth stood as he covered the girl back up.

"Uh... soup?"

"'Course. What kind?"

"Just chicken. I...I have no idea what other kinds you've got here, and I'd rather have something I know."

"As you wish." Jareth disappeared in a cloud of glitter. Raven sighed and leaned back. Not a moment later the Goblin King returned, holding a dinner tray.

"That was fast." Raven mumbled. Jareth stepped forward and paused before giving her the tray.

"Take your pants off."

"...excuse me?" Raven almost seethed.

"Take them off. While you were on your little quest here, you got your pants all muddy and the mud has dried, but it's crusting off and getting all over the bed. I'll turn my back." And he did as he said- he turned around.

Raven quickly removed her pants and tossed them to the side, covering herself back in the blanket.

"You can turn back." She huffed. Jareth turned and walked over, still holding the tray as he sat beside her. He took the spoon and scooped up the delicious contents in the bowl and held it in front of the girl.

"Open."

"I can feed myself, I'm not a child." She remarked.

"Yes, but I am the one caring for you, the injured one in this matter." Jareth grinned. "Are you going to let me take care of you so you can get better quickly?"

Hesitantly, Raven allowed the Goblin King to feed her, making her feel like such a child.

But she had to admit, the Goblin King was quite handsome.
