chapter fifteen

Grayson: Lin, I like you

Holy crap. He likes me?

Adylin: really??

Grayson: yeah and I know you don't think of me that way

Adylin: gray

Grayson: yeah?

Adylin: I think I do

Okay I don't think I do, I know I do. I just don't want to sound too full on, you know? That might be a lot to handle, plus I don't even know what he sees in me!

Grayson: for real?

Adylin: yeah

Grayson: woah

Adylin: what?😂

Grayson: idk I'm just shocked

Adylin: well where do we go from here?

Grayson: I'm not sure, let's leave it until we meet, okay?

Adylin: sure

Grayson: night Lin ❤️ Xx

Adylin: night Gray x

I couldn't help but smile, the biggest smile ever. He likes me? I mean I know Ethan told me that, but I didn't think Grayson would tell me.... plus I thought Ethan might've been kidding! I kept replaying the words over and over in my head, not knowing whether I was dreaming or not. Turns out I wasn't, since Blake and Loren started screaming and chanting about it. I'm guessing they read it, I don't blame them though... I did have my phone dangling out of my hand with my mouth wide open.
" I'm so happy for you!! " Loren squealed, wrapping me in her arms tightly.
I didn't reply, I was still processing what he'd just said.
" oh my god this is too cute " Loren repeated, jumping up and down on the bed which made me laugh.
" Loren calm down " Blake joked, and I threw a pillow at his face.
He gasped, throwing one back at me and hitting me right in the eye. It took a few seconds for me to be able to see again, and I shouted as I grabbed two more and squished him with them. I was sitting on him, while burying him in a pile of pillows with Loren's help. Such mature 17 year olds, aren't we?

Eventually we all calmed down, and we got under the bed covers to get walm. It was now around 11pm, and I was shattered. I'd been thinking about so much throughout the day, and it had honestly made me so tired and stressed. But now I feel fine, I feel relieved. Like I can breathe and calm down. We lay in bed, chatting and playing on our phones. It soon fell silent, and the quiet and cute snores were heard from Loren which made me giggle.
I turned around to look at Blake, and he was knocked out too. So it's just me. I couldn't exactly get up and go find food, since I was sleeping in the middle of them, so I shut off my phone and cuddled up next to them.

I was tired anyway, so as soon as I closed my eyes it was like I'd never had them open. I had a few different thoughts before I fell asleep, all being to do with Grayson. At first I felt useless and pathetic, like the person I like doesn't like me back, but now I think I might actually have a chance.

I thought I had a chance.
