I knew that I didn't want her gone
Of all people in this world, she was the one
With star filled eyes that carried me home
And that warm smile like hot chocolate and a campfire
And I knew in a rain of red with flames filling the streets
And the knives and screams tearing at our minds that
She was what I wanted to see
That blood spattered, tear stained face
That looked tragic and perfect
I didn't want her gone and I didn't plan on losing her
For she was the gloomy, rainy day where you stayed inside
Under the covers
And she was the bright, dizzying lights on roller coasters
And she was the sunburned sky in the evening
When the clouds would set over our two
Quiet souls
She was the skyline in the city when
We visited over spring and she stared for hours
At the beauty
That wasn't nearly close to her own
She was long nights and peaceful mornings
She was car rides and airplanes
And if there was one wish I had now
It would be to see her blood spattered,
Tear stained face
Looking like the home
She was to me
