Emily's POV
...
The day returned to pretty much the same old way, except that Natasha's mom picked her up after the nurse called her. Her mom was really pissed and Natasha looked guilty.
Well, I was lucky because.... I got her math homework! Yay me!
Mrs. Kale entered the room. Alaska looked at me giving me an eye roll.
I chuckled at her childishness.
"So... EVERYBODY! SUBMIT YOUR HOMEWORKS NOW!!!" I flinched at the teacher's tone.
She wasn't always like this ,maybe that's because her real self decided to show up.
When she joined this school last year she was a really sweet person, or so I thought.
No one ever expected her to turn out into a merciless math maniac.
I Hate Her. Period.
She hated me. She hated my guts. I think she made a New Years's resolution, to make my life a living hell.
I smirked at her and went forward to submit my notebook. My smirk was prominent and out of the corners of my eyes, I could see her eyes twitching.
Well bitch, you can't do anything to me now, ha!
I started sashaying back to my place but I heard her call me.
"EMILY!" I snapped my head back, almost breaking my neck.
"You are going to solve this sum on the board!" She narrowed her eyes and smirked, pointing to a sum on the board.
I narrowed my own eyes and racked my brain, how to do it?
"But Mrs. Kale, you never thought us that sum" I said frowning.
"Shut up Emily. Listen everyone, this is what happens if you don't pay attention in class and smirk your time away, YOU UNDERSTAND??" She yelled at everyone.
I pursed my lips, and furrowed my eyebrows.
"Now go back to your seat and LISTEN" I flinched again at her voice.
I turned around "I'm listening alright" I muttered.
"What was that?" She asked me after I sat on my chair.
"Nothing Mrs. Kale, I was just wondering what a wonderful teacher you are"
Everyone snickered, "SHUT UP!!" She screamed at the whole class.
Alaska was silently laughing at me. I rolled my eyes.
Math wasn't really my best subjects but I've always managed to get decent grades, that is if you consider a B+ as decent.
Next class was French, the most boring class ever!!
In my school, there are no lockers until high school, you had to bring your own bags and carry it around with you. The barbies of my grade use this as an opportunity show off their thousand dollar bags. I mean look at those bags, they look like you can't even fit a book in it. Even if they can fit a book in it , the books will be buried somewhere inside that mountain of makeup products.
There were 4 sections in my grade, I was in section B. The French class takes place in section A.
Most of the time the class smells very badly, almost like a rat died in there...
Yuck!
Regardless of all that, most of the nerds are from that class, they were the goody-good people of the grade, all the teachers loved them.
Paige and I had French class together, while Natasha and Alaska took Spanish as their language preference.
We always sat in the first bench, right in front of our teacher's desk.
But THAT never stopped us from dozing off most of the time.
We both always spend the whole class giggling at nothing and acting as if we were drunk.
I wasn't very good at French either, it was always one of my weaker subjects, next to math of course, and the fact that the teacher never cared about us didn't help either.
Mrs. Grayson was a really boring person, she bored the hell out of anyone and everyone.
The corridor was filled with students rushing for their language classes, and guess what I saw?
Arabella. She was my worst enemy, we competed for the captaincy in the field hockey team. She always acted like the stuck up bitch she was, and her mother was worse.
She was heading our way.
I pretended as if I didn't notice.
"Hey Emily! I was JUST thinking about inviting you over to a party in my house this weekend, so would you like to come? You can bring your friends too if you want!" She said with her high pitched voice while smiling sweetly.
What was up with her? I looked to my side to find Adrian few feet away from us talking to Nina, flirting actually.
Ohhh.... That is what this is all about.
I wanted to puke. She acted like this in front of everyone.
But I was one of the few people, who knew what a bitch she really was.
"Um.. I'll think about it, and thank you for inviting me" I smiled and entered our class. Paige took a seat next to me, "so.. Are you going?" She looked at me expectantly.
"I really don't know Paige" I shook me head while pinching the bridge of my nose.
" you should totally go Em! We haven't gone for a party in so long!" She whined.
I laughed "you want to go don't you?" I asked her.
"Well yeah... But that's not the thing now, this is the first party of the school year and we should definitely go!" She nodded her head.
I thought for a second "ok then, you are probably right, we should go" I agreed, why should I hold my friends back if I don't want to have fun.
She squealed silently making me laugh.
Our French teacher entered the room casting a spell on Paige and me, we instantly felt very dizzy.
I kicked her shoe from beneath the table.
Her head snapped to my direction with her eyes wide, slowly the surprised look changed into something playful.
We spent the rest of our French class like that.
Once it was over, we rushed over to our class, Paige was excited to tell the news to Alaska.
I was amused by her excitement.
"Hey Ally! Guess what?" Paige wriggled her eyebrows.
"What?" Alaska chuckled.
"We are going to a party" I smiled.
"Wow! But at whose place is it at?" She asked curiously.
I sighed "At Arabella's "
"Oh.. But I thought you guys hated each other? With a burning passion?" She laughed.
"Not so much but yeah, I don't know why she asked for us to come" I sighed again.
"Ok then, when is it?"
"This weekend" Paige answered.
Alaska looked at me to confirm, I nodded my head.
"So are you coming with us?" Paige asked.
"Yeah, ok. It IS the first party after the school started after all" she said shrugging.
"Cool. Then I'll just call up Natasha and ask her after I get home" Paige said.
"Ok, so are you guys coming with me to the coffee shop after school with me?" I asked.
They nodded.
The bell rang indicating that it was time for lunch.
