Kayla's POV

Casey had came back ecstatic after seeing LJ, she giggled like a little school girl blushing often, it was amazing to see Casey happy again and her birthday was soon and I will try to make it the best I can no matter the fact we are in prison.

I skimmed over my bible, my heart filled with content I found God after many years of  confusion and loss. Casey had begin to make me feel like an cold stone killer but only God could forgive me for my sin.

Starting to become bored I needed something do in my spare time, I heard there's a jobs you can do in prisons.

"Kay your day dreaming again" I snapped out my daze too look up to see a gleaming Casey

" Why you smiling like that Case you look like a crazy lady" flashing her a toothy grin

"I got him back, well I think I have him back Kay I love him so much but I still don't think he's forgiven me for murdering that woman" her smile turned into a glum dull look

"Casey Coleman the boy is obsessed with you literally, don't think on it and if he doesn't forgive you his loss, you did what you had to do" I out stretched my hand out for Case

"Love you Kayla, and I hundred percent support your new life choices and I don't mind coming along to Chapel plus I get to see Linc I'm always here for you know that." she rubbed my hand kissing it

"Stop it you hopeless romantic save it for Lj " smirking at Casey

Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment, Casey was really bipolar she could be vile and malicious one second then the other she can be shy and a joke to be around. I was surprised they haven't realized she hasn't been taken her medicine for months now, she needed it.

Casey stood up and put a sheet on the bars, she pulled her sweats down and sat on the toilet, wolf whistles and vulgar comments involving them shouting us to do physical activities with each other.

"only if they knew on sitting on the toilet... Idiots" Casey laughed hysterically

Buzzer rang for lunch, I pulled down the sheet in huff as case had just up and left me, I shoved my hand I my pocket and walked in the crowed to the lunch room. Casey had already stood in the line without me I picked up a tray and stood behind an African American man. He turned around and smiled at me and for once I wasn't scared of a male in this prison.

"The names C-note nice to meet you" he has bald head and a short beard and white teeth he out stretched his muscular arm out for me. I shook it as he had a soft welcoming grip.

"Kayla Coleman, nice to meet your C-note.." Giving a weak smile

"go in front of me and I will make sure you get the best chow I work in the kitchen but today I'm off" he gestured me to go in front.

"And what do I owe you if you do this favor for me?" I asked inquisitively maybe he want sexual favor I was a bit worried after the whole T-bag fiasco.

"Nothin lil one you just a woman in prison that's messed up and you need food, my daughter has a stomach problem I hate it when she doesn't eat good Ma" he smoke truthfully.

Walking  in front of him taking him on his offer he grinned back at me chuckling he leaned forward "There's chocolate milk out back, I will save you some for tomorrows breakfast and some for you other lady friend " he whispered

"Thanks it means a lot not many people are as nice in here as you" giving him a genuine smile maybe things wont be that bad around here

"I got you Ma, if you need anything pharmaceutical I got you" he spoke proudly and you could see he had a high status in this prison along with T-bag and the infamous Abruzzi.

I reached the counter with C-note whispered something to another light skinned man wearing a doo-rag on his head, he pulled out a two new plate of food on the counter which looked more edible

"Thanks C-note " I had turned down his offer to sit with him and opted to sit with Casey

"Who's that cute milk chocolate you was talking too Kay" Casey grinned

"C-note he works in the kitchen he's really nice he's gonna give us fresher food for nothing in return" I chewed into the mac and cheese

Casey warned me about the race divide in the prison and to be careful but she seemed happy about the fact she would get better food. Abruzzi sat down with his friends in the neighboring table.

I got up and walked over bravely too the table, I coughed to get his attention Abruzzi looked up and slicked his long hair back to stare at me carefully and his hench men stood up threateningly. He let out a manic laugh " sit down boys she clearly cant do me any harm" he growled at them

"I heard you run PI and I need to get away from most of the inmate can you get me place and for my friend Casey over there" I spoke assertively

" and what would I get in return, come walk with me" he eyed his minions to stay behind and not follow. I hesitantly walked with him shooting Casey a look of reassurance.

"I don't really have much to give back but hard work on PI" I spoke sheepishly as he stripped me off all my confidence, he stood over me like a tower begin a whole half a foot taller than me. He analysed me face and eyes as his face softened "You reminded me of my daughter, she was always shy around me" he spoke softly looking around just incase someone caught him begin heartfelt.

"Please John I need to get away from T-bag and his goons so does Casey" I pleaded

"Your both in but you need to pull your weight princess and get down and dirty with the work" he smirked

"I'm not a princess, I got bigger balls than most guys In this prison and you know it" I stuck my  tongue out at him

"don't push your luck Princess, Abruzzi's little princess I like the sound of that" he growled in a joking manner

"Whatever John, its funny how your named after a chapter in the bible yet you have broken most of the ten commandments" bringing up my biblical knowledge

"so have you Mother Theresa" he joked around waving goodbye who knew a mob boss would be pretty chill

I walked back in the lunch room and winked at Casey " tomorrow we are working PI so be ready" I returned back to my now cold food

Casey looked at me proudly "I ate your brownie sorry" she chuckled

"Whatever Case"
