First Day of School

The sun filtered through the curtains of Frisks room striking her in the eyes and try as she might she couldn't escape it so she was forced to wake up. As Frisk was getting ready she heard a knock on her door and the booming voice of papyrus "Newcomer its time to wake up we leave in Fifteen minutes" there were footsteps as he scurried away to get his things together. Frisk's shoulders shook as she snickered to herself shaking her head at Pap's expense of course he didn't know, Being downstairs and all. When frisk was done getting dressed she went downstairs to grab something to eat when she got to the kitchen she saw the others getting cereal and bowls but her attention was pulled to the fruit bowl on the counter side across from the cereal not being one for big breakfasts she decided to go for the fruit. "Sup kid" Sans said as he sat down next to Frisk "so not a talker, not a breakfast person, hopefully you like puns or else whenever i make one it'll be a PUN-ishment worse than death heheh" the others- specifically Papyrus-- groaned at the pun "brother is it not to early to be doing your puns" "can't stop won't stop pap sorry but it is too early for arguments you'll just have to accept my puns for now and bicker when we get to school" as if it were a magic word Ghaster came in and told them to finish up and get in the car. When they got in the car Frisk became a tad bit nervous which multiplied when she saw the size of the school, being both a people person and an introvert was quite complex and she couldn't tell if the anxiety she was feeling was good or bad but leaned more towards bad with that many people in a school that meant she was more likely to meet mean kids and she wasn't ready to deal with bullies so she inclined herself to stick next to the others until she found her class. As Ghaster dropped them off Undyne walked up to Frisk "nervous?" She got a shake of a head yes in return "there's nothing to be nervous about just stick with us and you'll be fine but just in case watch out for who sees you or who you talk to ok?" She shook her head again already planning on doing that anyways as all of them made their way in Frisk tried hiding behind all the other to avoid the stares of being the new kid in school but just like the sun that morning the other students found her like a sore thumb sticking out of the group because she still had her glasses on in a building which many found odd unknowingly she also attracted the attention of two people a light brown haired girl, and a blonde haired boy the girl was wearing a green and yellow striped sweater and the boy was wearing a black muscle shirt displaying his non existent muscles the girl had crimson red eyes and the boy had emerald green eyes. The boy noticed Frisk and shouted to Sans "hey comedian who the blind person behind you did you guys get another "family" member at your house or are you just their seeing eye dog" "can it Flowey or I'll kick your teeth in mate I ain't joking" Sans grunted and gave the other kid a death stare from hell that made him cower slightly after they passed the lounge area Sans turned to Frisk "sorry about that didn't think Asriel and Chara would be in there yet but it doesnt matter lets get you to class." He turned back around and they started walking again. "Frisk huh? Well lets have some fun with her today what'd ya say Chara" "I don't care i guess it could be fun but the only thing I'm wondering is why the sunglasses in the building" the two walked away to their own classes. As Frisk and the others made it to her class the only other one in her first hour was Alphys so the others left but not without warning Frisk to stay out of trouble. As Frisk and Alphys made their way into class Alphys brought Frisk to the teacher who looked up smiled then pointed to an empty seat in the back. When class started the teacher stood up and started teaching about the different make ups of atoms and so on Frisk started to wander her eyes around the room looking at the other students only then did she realize that a couple were looking at her as well she ducked her head down and began taking notes on paper that Alphys leant her and a pencil that Papyrus gave her since she had yet to get school supplies. When the teacher was done teaching the new subject and gave the others their assignments she called Frisk up "sorry I couldn't talk earlier grading and such, I'm Mr. Dreemur I hope you got something from today's lesson sorry you were put in at the end of the year or if they already taught you this where you were at before but may I ask why you have sunglasses on" it was quiet between them for a little before Frisk slowly lowered her sun glasses "o-oh thats why, i understand seeing as to how youre quite silent i take it your not a very public person and the attention to that would probably not sit well with you huh? (Frisk shook her head) thought so, though if I may say something I think its fine its a little different but people would eventually get used to it" Mr. Dreemur smiled then sent her back to her desk. The bell rang shortly after and her and Alphys gathered their things and left to Frisks next class which she would be alone in. When Alphys dropped her off she told Frisk that Papyrus was in the class over and would take her to her next one then she left. As Frisk walked in she saw the Blond boy Asriel that was there earlier he saw her and smiled nicely at her, she made her way to the teacher who looked up and pointed next to Asriel who coincidentally had a spot open next to him. Begrudgingly she sat next to him and he decided to spark a conversation " howdy, sorry for earlier i just like to tease Sans what's you name?" Frisk turned away and that didn't sit well with Asriel "or don't god your just like him maybe you are one of his family members " he said then turned his attention to the board.

Frisk was getting out of her seat when Asriel grabbed her hand "hey sorry for what I said I'm still a little heated over Sans threatening me and all if you'd let me i could walk you to your next class as an apology, please?" Frisk not wanting to make him made shook her head. He gave her a smile and asked for her schedule his eyes lit up and he smiled "ah you'll get to meet Chara and mom I see you already met dad... would you wanna have lunch with all of us after that'll show you that were not so bad. Me and Sans just had a ...falling out when we were little." He said as he began go to Frisks next class with someone watching as they left "I've got to tell Sans, this isn't good". While they were walking Asriel began talking to keep the quiet away "so your names Frisk wish you would've told me before I got another excuse to know it instead of eavesdropping *he thought* well are you liking it here so far (frisk tilted her head from side to side in a so-so manner) lemme guess dads class was boring and people are staring at you cause youre new... and you have sunglasses on still (she shook her head yes giggling about him picking on his dad) so she can do things other than be stone faced and silent heh well maybe at lunch you can show us why you wear sunglasses in buildings". He talked a little longer until they were at Frisks class  "well hopefully see you at lunch" with that he left her alone and she walked into class when she was in eyesight of the teacher they immediately came over to her "hi you must be Frisk the new student please take a seat by my daughter class is about to begin" she then went back to preparing the lesson for the day. When Frisk sat next to the girl she kept her eyes from making contact with the other girls which was hard because she was staring at her "soo too cool to look at me or just don't want to make conversation, (Frisk put up two fingers to signal the second one was correct) ah ok so I take it youre not one to initiate conversations, or speak for that matter so I'll help by asking easy questions or saying easy things ok? (Yes) so have you met any other of my family members (yes) dad? (Yes) Flowey (Frisk looked at her confused ) Asriel.. we call him Flowey because of something that had started when we were little heheh(yes) ok well I'm Chara and if he hasn't already told you me and Flowey didn't mean any of this morning of course I wasn't a  part of it but I'm contractually obligated to take some of his teasing as my fault heh... welp sorry nonetheless soo.... why would someone as pretty as you wear sunglasses indoors I bet your eyes are as beautiful as the rest of you" besides the massive blush she was sporting Frisk also went wide eyed at the complement not used to getting any she gave a meek smile and bowed her head in a silent thank you which brought a smile to Chara's face "awe youre even cuter when you're embarrassed I might  have to do it more often" of course all she was doing was making it worse but hey she wanted to have her fun "so we shoul-" "hello class good morning, today we'll be starting a new project so find a partner or I'll pick one for you"" Mrs.Dreemur said as she turned around and began to write the instructions for the project on the board. Chara smiled impishly and turned to Frisk "hey, so wanna team up on this project I understand if you say no, with having an overseeer like Sans who doesn't really like me or my brother. But I wanna work with you cause you seem better than everyone else to work with and I'm not the most popular with them too. I mostly do projects by myself, anyways I just thought I'd ask, you dont have to answer right now but please just think about it" Chara turned back to the board and began writing the instructions down on her notebook while Frisk contemplated over agreeing or not she did have a point but, I'm my own person and if I want to work on a project with someone who hasn't wished me any ill will and has been nothing but nice then I will  turning to Chara she caught the other girl staring at her again huh wonder why, I thought she was writing work down she smiled and that seemed to knock Chara out of whatever trance she was in "s-sorry I was j-just u-um so have you thought about it y-yet" she said trying to formulate a thought after being caught. Frisk giggled at Chara being flustered like she just was she's right it is fun making a cute person...wait what um I mean not cute. pretty a pretty girl ... a beautiful person y-yeah we'll go with that- flustered with a red tint growing on her cheeks as well Frisk smiled and shook her head yes "c-cool we can work on it at my house since y-you know Sans and them a-anyways we should pay attention mom- I mean Mrs. Dreemur. She is gonna explain more about it."she said then turned to face the front once again sparring a glance when she thought Frisk was looking at the board "Ok class this assignment is gonna be both an activity and research the activity is a skit you and your partner will have to put on and then research the event but it must be from the past and you can't use professional plays or anything like that, that have happened for the activity ok...". Frisk awoke to a gentle push to her shoulder "hey sleepy head class is over don't worry I got the notes and will explain it when we meet up for it ok. So do you have any plans for lunch? Or would you like to come w-with us, it's fine with my parents if you want to and I'd even pay for you. Please I'd like to hang out and show you we're not so bad as Sans might try to make it seem" Frisk drowsily shook her head in conformance which caused Chara to smile brightly before going to her mom and telling her and rushing back "ok mom just needs to text dad and Asriel then we'll be on our way" her smile was contagious and soon Frisk couldn't help but to smile and get lost in Chara's Ruby eyes she snapped out of it when she realized Chara was giggling "looks like we're even now" she said holding her hand out to Frisk which she accepted and was helped up she shook her head to wake up more and then started walking to where everyone else but her and Chara were waiting for them not realizing until she saw Asriel snickering and the adults composing themselves a little better she looked down at their still entwined hands then it registered and she quickly let go of Chara's hand missing the look of unhappiness Chara gave when she did and looked down at the ground drawing imaginary circles with her shoe until Mr. Dreemur cleared his throat "ehem well shall we be off then we'll miss lunch if we're too slow" he said as he turned and started walking out with Mrs. Dreemur following behind she glanced back and smiled at Frisk while Flowey had a large grin and made a comment of  "I know right her hands are so soft you just forget you're even holding them haha. Well enough teasing dads right let's gooo" "come on l-let's go Frisk. I didn't mind ya know and seeing as to how you were oblivious to it you didn't either..." Chara whispered as she passed Frisk who then felt bad for upsetting the girl without knowing it. Halfway to walking to the car Frisk got close enough to Chara and whispered a "sorry" in her ear and then went back to her spot behind Chara who stopped in place and turned around which caught Frisk off guard and then walked over to her and gave Frisk a hug which after processing what was happening returned it slightly "it's nothing ok. I was just joking around I didn't mean to make you feel bad enough to actually say something thanks for the consideration and I'm sorry for worrying you, let's just get to lunch ok"  with that said they continued on their way and made it to the car. When they got to Arby's they ordered, taking a little bit longer because Frisk was trying to order the cheapest thing but was told she could get what she wanted and then they sat down. While waiting for their food Mrs. Dreemur  turned to Frisk "so why do you wear sunglasses indoors dear if it's not to personal" Frisk shook her head no that it wasn't personal and took a little deciding whether to show them or not deciding she slowly took off her glasses and set them down with her eyes closed as a final decision made she slowly opened her eyes to reveal that she had one sky blue eye and the other hazel "oh, dear is that why?(yes) well-" "to be honest I think it's a silly reason you're eyes are beautiful" Chara said interrupting her mom " I mean just look at them they're so cool I don't see why you hide them I mean yeah they're different but that's a good thing look at mine how many people do you know with ruby eyes, here I'll make a deal with you if you don't wear those and someone picks on you I will personally kick their teeth in and you can decide if you want to put them back on or not but I personally like them" she ended in a slightly quieter tone "I agree with your girlfriend *Asriel stares at the two with a shit eating grin while Frisk blushes and Chara gives him
A death stare* Frisk, you should keep 'em off it looks nice and gives you your own diversity you should also talk more that'd be cool, but hey this is coming from the guy who's nicknamed Flowey so do whatever" Frisk thought she faintly heard Chara whisper something along with "fucking dipshit keep your mouth shut. But he's right she does have a pretty voice" Frisk blushed but shook it off as just hearing things. The order was ready and they ate in silence until Frisk turned to Chara and just loud enough for her to hear said "thank you I don't believe anything Sans says about you guys" finalizing her statement with a hug then she got up and went to the restroom. When she came back everyone was done so they made their way to the car and drove back to school. When they got back Flowey went to his next period while Mr. and Mrs. Dreemur went to their perspective classes to get ready while Chara and Frisk hung out for a little bit longer "so am I the only one who's heard you speak so far" Chara asked her while they were sitting on a bench outside Frisk smiled bleakly and shook her head yes her eyes shining with bashfulness "not even Ghaster... wow now I really do feel special" Frisk looked at Chara quizzically for knowing who Ghaster was but summed it up to Flowey and Sans being friends at one point the final hour warning bell chimed and Chara walked Frisk to class before leaving for her own when she sat down a voice behind her said "be careful around them they're not all what they seem" she turned around to see Papyrus sitting next to her she rolled her eyes, let out a silent huff of air then turned her attention back to the board "Sans wants to talk when we get home he's just looking out for you. He doesn't want you to get hurt" and with that class started.

When school was over and everyone was in the car it was dead silent. Halfway to the home Ghaster remembered something "ah I almost forgot. Here Frisk I got this on the way here" Ghaster handed a phone to her " it already has everyone's contacts so if you need something just send a text ok?" Frisk shook her head and took the phone smiled and to the shock of everyone thanked Ghaster verbally "Oi am I hearing shit or did the mute finally talk" Sans said which made Frisk roll her eyes but smile anyways... things were gonna be different from now on and she won't let go of her new friends.
