Carmilla, a woman who usually is fantastic at blending into the crowd (something of which in the field of work she is being forced into, is very helpful). But this time while on a wallet run, she almost gets caught by her target...

If you were to look at Carmilla in the crowd, you wouldn't even notice her really. She looked like everyone else, just walking around, maybe occasionally checking her watch. What people didn't know, is that Carmilla is an extremely talented person when it comes to theft.

Carmilla is a pickpocket, although she was not one by choice. Her adoptive mother Lolita Morgan is one of the biggest small crime bosses in Austria. No one knows about her criminal activities, in fact, people know her as a very succesful university dean of students- if they know her at all. How is she one of the biggest crime bosses in Austria and yet no one knows about it, you may ask? Well, the answer is simple, she takes in teenagers like Carmilla. People who are starving, cast out, dying on the streets, and takes them in as her own children. Although, she holds no love for any of the teens, to her they are just things to use for her bidding, which she's too lazy to get up off of her ass to do herself.

So there Carmilla walks, once again doing one of the small, yet most difficult and risky, criminal activites she could come up with.

Having already stolen about 12 wallets without any of the victims noticing, Carmilla is almost ready to call it a day. Sure, the usual demand is 20, but Carmilla really couldn't be bothered doing much more than she has already forced herself to continue doing for the past 3 years. But then she sees her.

A blonde. A beautiful blonde. A beautiful blonde girl who smiles at nothing. And Carmilla feels completely drawn to her. It was like there was an invisible force forcing Carmilla to not look away, to walk up to her and try to talk to her. But, Carmilla knew that she would get shot down as soon as the girl found out what she did in order to not get thrown back into the dark pit that is homelessness. But......Carmilla couldn't stop looking at her, she didn't even notice that she had taken a couple of steps towards her.

Carmilla didn't know what to do, she hadn't felt this drawn to a person since she was forced into these escapades. And the last girl didn't take it well when she found out. So, she decided that even though it was wrong, immoral, and she really didn't want to do this since it would benefit Mother, she was going to use her skills to just get near her for a couple of seconds. She walked towards the girl until she was right behind her in the bustling crowd, making sure to look as casual as possible without it seeming suspicious.

She thought her plan was going perfectly, that was until the blonde suddenly started walking faster, as if sensing an unwanted presence was near her. [A/N: HER SPIDER SENSES ARE TINGLING!!!!! Spider-Laura....] 'Has she got some sort of sixth sense or something?' Carmilla keeps her pace at first, making it seem as if she wasn't following her. Then checked her watch, widened her eyes, and picked up her pace, soon back a the same distance she was earlier with the blonde.

Carmilla was a talented actor, any other person would assume she was late for an appointment with her bulging eyes and watch check. Another useful skill in this line of work. Yet, the blonde picked up her pace again. Carmilla huffed and pulled a similar act to earlier, except she muttered a curse under her breath this time to make it seem a bit more legit to the people close enough to hear her.

Almost immediately after she had caught up to the blonde, she turned around to look at Carmilla with a creeped out and frustrated look. "Who the hell are you? Why are you following me?" She asked, her tone filled with both anger and curiousness. "I'm Carmilla, and I've just got places to be sweetheart. And by the way, that bunched up face you're making right now is hilarious, buttercup." Carmilla smirked while the tiny journalist blushed. Wether it was out of a rising anger, embarrassment, or from her flattery, Carmilla didn't know, she just knew she loved making the girl blush already. It was really cute.
