Carmilla, Laura and the gang had been over to Laura and Carmilla's shared apartment (only as friends in the beginning of course) to have a beer and game night. But after a few rounds of UNO, Laferry left due to the fact the two decided they wanted some alone time....Danny left after those two due to the fact she was getting all pissy about being the Hollstein third wheel. After a few more drinks and a Hollis challenging a Karnstein to monopoly, confessions that wouldn't be released while sober ensue.

"So I'm just gonna go before I throw up....or throw myself off a bridge." Danny groans as she stands to make her exit. Laura quickly stands up to hug her stupidly tall friend. "Awww, Danny are you okay? If you were feeling sick you should've said so, I wouldn't have forced you to come." Laura pouts as she releases the tall human from her hug. "No, it's fine. I just got really nauseous all of a sudden. Maybe I should go lie down." Danny departs the area with a friendly wave to Laura and the usual "Xena" and "Fang Face" exchanged between the red head and the raven haired woman.

"Well cupcake, seems like we are all alone now.." Carmilla's voice trails off while a smirk rises to her lips.

Carmilla and Laura moved into the apartment as complete strangers at first just over 1 year ago....

For half of that year Carmilla has been flirting her ass off to Laura, only to get no where with the oblivious blonde.

Carmilla isn't very happy about that.

"That we are Carm! And since the other three have gone..." Laura's own voice trails off as she wanders over to the board game drawer in the living room. Carmilla gets slightly excited at the idea that Laura might have finally gotten the hint.

"I thought that maybe we could have a bit of a monopoly challenge!" Laura exclaimed excitedly shaking the box of monopoly in an effort to convey her excitement even further.

'You've got to be kidding me....' Although Carmilla was extremely frustrated at the situation, she let a small smile show as she shrugged at the excited and slightly drunk blonde. "Sure, why not cutie?" Laura squealed and skipped over to the small table where Carmilla sat waiting. While Laura sat everything up, Carmilla grabbed the two another beer.

"So, this is how this is going to work. Everything is just like how we usually play, but because there is only two of us, we aren't going to play the 'one round around the board to buy things' rule. You got it?" "It isn't that hard to understand cupcake." Laura ducked her head shyly at the fact she seemed to imply that Carmilla couldn't understand a simple rule change. "Okay! Well now that's settled...." Laura rolled the die to get a total of 6. Carmilla then took her shot and found that she rolled a 11. "Tough luck cupcake, looks like I'm going first." Carmilla smirked, and the competition began.

------------------------

The two had been playing for a while now, and had a few more drinks coupled with the hours.

This is when things have gotten...interesting.

"When I was in college I tried to get my grade improved in English Lit by kind of sucking up do Danny a little." Laura randomly spurted out at some point. Carmilla raised an eyebrow. "You tried to get an A by getting with Danny?" Laura nodded guiltily in response, to which Carmilla chuckled at.

"I have a thing for blondes." Carmilla shrugs, not able to think of anything else....plus it is yet another hint for the ignorant ray of sunshine that Carmilla is in to her.

Laura pouts. "That's a sucky confession! Here, like this. In high school I had a massive crush on a girl, but she had all these girlfriends. SO, I ended up telling them all she had raging cold sores and that they were super contagious." Carmilla laughed at this confession. "Would you look at that? Laura Hollis was an absolute asshole in her schooling years!" Carmilla continued to snicker as Laura punched her in the arm. "Hey! I have a few regrets, I would never even think about doing it now!" Laura tried to whine her slurred defence. "Alright, alright. No matter how much I make fun of them, I actually do find nerdy and dorky people kinda cute." Another hint. And another pout.

"Come on! You can do better than that! Like....oh god, I hate myself for doing this more than anything....you know how I love Harry Potter right?" Laura waits for Carmilla's nod to continue. "Well.....I....I....ihaventseenallthemovies!" Laura quickly squeaks out, her hands immediately covering her mouth as she lowers her head in shame. "Wait, let me get this straight. You. Laura Hollis. The girl that can play the Harry Potter theme with water glasses, hasn't seen all of the Harry Potter movies?" Carmilla asks in an exaggerated gasp. "Yes! Yes, I know! I'm a disgrace to the Potterhead name! I need to give up my train ticket, my wand, my scarves, my beanies and my Hogwarts house! I don't deserve to have them!" Laura is actually crying at this point. And although Carmilla is having a brilliant time with this, she will admit that there are few things that she hates more than seeing Laura cry. So, shaking off her giggles, Carmilla shimmies over to Laura and pulls her into a hug. "Hey, hey, Laura, cupcake, love, sweetie. It's okay. So what if you haven't seen all the movies! At least you have seen some of them. And hey, you want to know what's worse?" Laura sniffles and lifts her head to look at Carmilla. "What?" Laura sniffles and croaks out. "Not reading the books but watching the movies. Now that, that is a Harry Potter crime!" Carmilla smooths Laura's hair and comfortingly rubs her arm.

Laura grins and wiggles out of Carmilla's hold. "You're right! Thanks Carm!" Laura slurs and swiftly kisses Carmilla on the cheek.

"Alright. Well, one time I had a dream. And in this dream you and I were..." Carmilla's voice trailed of as she raised her hands. She makes a circle with one hand and makes the motion of two of her fingers going into the circle a few times.

Laura stares at the woman in front of her wide eyed, the motion making her brain short circuit. She understood perfectly what that meant. 'Well, if she had that dream...' "I've had a crush on you since you moved in!" Laura quickly spat out, red colouring her cheeks as she awaited the response.

Carmilla threw her arms into the air and let out a deep breath. "I've been flirting with you for half a year!" Carmilla exclaimed, a smirk rising onto her face as she saw the flustered girl in front of her.

Laura had to think about that statement before her eyes widened and a look of realisation crossed her features. "Oh...OH! So when you were hitting on me, you were really hitting on me?" Laura looks surprised, flattered and happy as she thinks about all the compliments and suggestive comments Carmilla has made this entire time. Carmilla groaned. "Yes, you beautiful idiot! And this entire time you haven't noticed, it's actually exhausting....please stake me now, that would be a lot less mortifying than this conversation!" Carmilla put her head in her hands as she hid her disgusted face in her palms. Laura giggled and took Carmilla's hands away from her face. "You're unbelievable.....I like you a lot silly, this isn't embarrassing or mortifying......but I wouldn't mind knowing what was in that dream of yours." Laura smirked. The liquid courage finally seeming to make her do something other than say stupid confessions and cry.

Carmilla chuckled. "Well.....you may have had me tied to a chair..." Carmilla smirked, her dream playing right behind her eyes. Laura blushed, yet her smirk never wavered. "I can definitely do that..." Laura took Carm's hand and began to sloppily drag her to her bedroom. Carmilla pulled Laura back and held the blonde so she didn't fall. "Laura, sweetie, you're drunk cupcake. I'm putting you to bed." Carmilla began to carry the hiccupping blonde to her bedroom. "Caarrrm, I was going to put you to bed though." Laura whined as she cuddled up to the raven haired girl's neck. Carmilla chuckled, placing the already half asleep blonde onto her bed and slipping the covers over her body.

Returning two minutes later with a glass of water and two tablets of advil, Carmilla set them on the blonde's bedside table and kissed her forehead.

"Maybe next time, cutie."
