Jasper was driving everyone crazy; his moaning was very annoying. "Clarke," I called as I climbed up the ladder. Jasper laid on the second floor of the Drop Ship. Monty and Clarke were there with him. "Olivia, is everything okay?" Clarke asked, she sounded stern.
"Yes," I said, but rethought my answer, "I mean: no... look, I dunno. But what I do know is that Jasper is driving people crazy. Is he doing alright?" I sneaked closer. Jasper looked simply awful.
"He needs clean water." Clarke told me and stood up, "keep an eye on him." She told Monty.Clarke and I climbed down the ladder. It was still night. Murphy and I had decided to just not talk about our make out session. I told him about my game with Bellamy too. "NO!" A girl screamed, she laid in a corner of the camp.
"Do you got that one?" I asked Clarke, she nodded. I was tired, so I searched my dry spot under the tree and slept.I was happy to see that Murphy could still look Bellamy in the eyes, and the other way around. They were practicing throwing dagger. Clarke had informed me about Charlotte, who was the one screaming last night. "Bellamy!" I called walking over to the four boys, including Atom (who was messing with Octavia last night) Murphy, an unknown boy to me and Bellamy of course, "Jasper isn't doing any better," I went on, "but Clarke's mom is a doctor, Clarke knows how to heal people. And it appears that there are not only kids around the age of 17 here. There's a little girl; her name is Charlotte. She is only 12 years old. We should keep an eye on her."
"Look, Atom," Murphy said pointing at me, "that is the report we're waiting for." Bellamy grabbed his ax he threw into a tree.
"Bellamy," Atom started, "people are scared, and that dying kid, he's not helping the morale around and if he isn't getting better-"
"The morale will go up when I find them food." Bellamy cut him off.
"What about Trina and Pascal?" The unknown boy asked. The couple had disappeared yesterday and didn't return.
"Tell them the truth," I said and got 4 pairs of confused eyes on my, "c'mon guys, if we tell them Trina and Pascal are probably killed by Grounders, no one is gonna leave this camp without permission again. We can't afford losing more people."
"That can be a plan," Bellamy said, "but for now, let's go hunting and think about it."
"Let's go kill something." Murphy murmured before we left, but Bellamy told him to keep an eye on the camp while we were gone."She's mine." Bellamy whispered, looking at the pig we surrounded. He had his ax ready, but there was a sound of snapping twigs behind us. Bellamy turned around and threw his ax into a tree, it nearly hit the girl, who stood besides it. The pig ran away, followed by a group of hungry delinquents. "Who the hell are you?" Bellamy asked the girl.
"Watch your language around her," I sneered whispering, "didn't you hear a word I said back at the camp, did you?" I made my way to the young girl, "this is Charlotte." Now I talked to Charlotte, "but I wonder what you're doing here out in the open."
"Well," she said still looking scared at Bellamy, "that guy who is dying, I just- I couldn't listen anymore."
"I understand." I said taking her small hand in mine. Atom had returned too, "there are Grounder out here," he said, "it's dangerous for a little girl."
"I'm not little." She defended. A slight smile appeared on Bellamy's face, with me happened the same. "Okay then," Bellamy said, "but you can't hunt without a weapon." He gave her a hand, ade knife, "ever killed something before?" Charlotte shook her head.
"Well, there's a first time for everything." I said, taking her with me and the boys off into the woods.A big yellow fog surrounded the trees. "Come one!" Bellamy shouted, "there is a cave this way!" I still held Charlotte's hand, but someone else took my free hand. We ran until we, indeed, reached a cave. I pushed Charlotte inside and Bellamy pushed me inside. Atom and the other boys were no where in sight. We only heard Atom scream for Bellamy, but it was too late to go back now.
Charlotte fell asleep in the cave, and Bellamy and I stayed silent. That was until Bellamy started smirking. "What?" I asked whispering, his smirk grew bigger, "what are you thinking of?"
"You." He whispered back.
"Not again." I rolled my eyes, "may I remind you that there is a 12 year old just a few feet away." Bellamy looked at the sleeping Charlotte, the crawled some closer. "I think she won't hear a thing." Now I crawled some closer myself, "besides, I bet I'm a way better kisser then Murphy."
"Are you sure?" I asked, straddling his lap, one leg his left and one on his right, "Murphy is a good kisser." His eyes faced my throat, when I was on his lap, and switched between my eyes, my lips and cleavage. "Let's see if you still think that after kissing me." Bellamy breathed out.Our lips almost connected, when Charlotte started screaming again, "NO!" So I needed to get the of Bellamy. Charlotte actually saved me from losing our game. "Charlotte," Bellamy said taking care of the (not) little girl, "wake up."
"I'm sorry," Charlotte said while sitting up.
"Does that happen often?" I asked her and laid a comforting arm around her shoulders.
"What are you scared of?" Bellamy asked, but Charlotte didn't answer, "you know what? It doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is what you do about it."
"But I'm asleep." Charlotte asked.
"Fears are fears," Bellamy explained, "slay you demon when you're awake, they won't be there to get you when you sleep."
"Yeah, but how?"
"You can't afford to be weak, down here, weakness is death. Fear is death." Bellamy paused, "let me see that knife I gave you." Charlotte did as told, "now when you feel afraid... you hold tight to that knife, and say: 'screw you. I'm not afraid'." Bellamy gave Charlotte her knife back. She grabbed it tight and repeated Bellamy's words, "screw you," she looked at the knife, "I'm not afraid."
"Slay your demons kid," Bellamy told her, "then you'll be able to sleep."All of the thins Bellamy said to Charlotte, changed everything I thought about me. His sweet, but serious words worked like poison to my brain, to my heart. All my thoughts, like Bellamy is just a dick that can help you to the top, became blurry. This Bellamy I liked, the Bellamy that talked to Charlotte. "Go back to sleep, Charlotte." I whispered and let her go.
"It's all clear," Bellamy said as he walked out of the cave, "anybody out here?" Bellamy shouted, "Jones?"
"We're here!" A male voice replied. Bellamy gestured me and Charlotte to him to Jones.
"Lost you in the stew," Bellamy explained, "where'd you go?"
"Made it to a cave down there." the boy answered.
"Where's Atom?" I asked, looking for any sign of Atom.We split up and searched for Atom. Charlotte and I found him, she immediately started screaming. On the ground before us, laid a boy with a burned skin, barely breathing. Bellamy ran over, "son of a bitch." He whispered, "Atom?" He went towards the boy.
"Kill me." Atom whispered. I pulled Charlotte some closer, she was all shaky. "C'mon." I said pulling her with me. "No wait." She whispered and pulled away. She slowly made her way to Bellamy and gave him her knife, "don't be afraid."
"Olivia, take Charlotte please." Bellamy said, so I took the girl with me.When Bellamy returned to camp I flung into his arms. "Something wrong?" He asked.
"I lost Charlotte on my way to camp," I said, "Bell-"
"Charlotte is fine," he cut me off, while letting go, "I saw her. She was sitting by herself, don't worry. And by the way, you can say Bell if you want."
"Okay, Bell, and... Atom?"
"Clarke made an end to it when she passed by."
"W-what about Atom?" I heard Octavia's voice, the last person I wanted to see now.She saw the stretcher, which Atom laid on. Octavia slowly pulled the jacket, that covered Atom's body, away. There were gasps all around. "There was nothing I could do-" Bell tried, but she cut him off. "Don't," there were tears rolling down her cheeks, as Octavia walked away. I sighed and sat down at the campfire. I didn't even want to know what Murphy had to say about Jasper. But every one could hear Bellamy going crazy because Murphy said psycho little sister.
After he calmed down, Bell walked towards me. "There you are," he said looking down, "I need to show you something." I exchanged some looks with my new friends, Monroe and Harper.
"Okay," I said slowly, while standing up, "am I going to like it?"
"Yes you are." He took my arm and pulled me with him. I saw him walking towards his tent.
"Bell, I didn't change my mind."
"I know, Queen."He stopped in front of his tent, but instead of entering he leaded me to another tent. It was almost the exact same as his. "My second deserves the best." He said as he entered this new tent, still pulling me. "Woah, Bell." I said looking around, "thank you."
"No problem, Queenie." The tent had a bed with blankets and a pillow (which was made of a blanket) it had a night stand and desk too. "Hey, wait a minute," I said looking around, the tent was made against a tree, so the bark of the tree was in the back. The bed stood against it, "isn't this the place I slept the nights before?"
"Actually it is." Bell said while sitting down on the bed, "I knew you loved the place."
"That's sweet." I said slightly smiling.
"Wanne make out now?"
"Shut up," I laughed and sat down too, "I guess I'm gonna take a nap."
"Have a nice dream." He walked out of the tent, so I could take a nap.I slippe doff my dark red jacket and and black pants, leaving me in a gray tank top and Ark-underwear. I laid down on my bed and covered myself with blankets. I almost immediately fell asleep. A well deserved good night rest will help me through tomorrow...
