Clarke was fixing Raven's thigh with a heated knife. Raven groaned loudly in pain. "I don't understand," Finn said to Bellamy, who was still holding me close with an arm around my waist, "how did Murphy get a gun?"
"Long story," Bell answered.
"We got lucky," Raven said under her breath, "if Murphy hit the fuel tank instead of we'd all be dead."
"Hydrazine?" I asked, "enough to built a another bomb?"
"Enough to built a hundred bombs," Raven replied, "if we had any gunpowder left."
"Let's get back to the Reapers," Bellamy said, mentioning something Clarke and Finn told us about, "maybe they'll help us. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?"
"Not this enemy," Clarke told us, "we saw them. Trust me, it's not an option."
"There's no time for this," Finn interrupted, "can Raven walk or not?"
"No," Clarke replied, "we have to carry her."
"The hell you will," Raven told them, "I'm good to go." She tried to sit up, but I pushed her back softly.
"Raven, the bullet is still inside you." I told her.
"If by some miracle there's no internal bleeding," Clarke told the brunette, "it might hold until we get somewhere safe but you are not walking there. Is that clear?" Raven nodded and whispered a yeah."I'll get a stretcher." Finn told us and walked away.
"Can't run away fast enough, huh?" Bell sneered, "real brave." Finn came walking back angrily.
"Dying in a fight you can't win isn't brave," he told Bell, "it's stupid."
"Spoken like every coward who's ever run away from a fight." Bellamy let go of my waist and walked toward Finn in a threatening way.
"Alright, that's enough!" Clarke snapped at the two boys, "it's time to go."
"If they follow?" Bell said, "it's a 20 mile walk to the ocean."
"We're wasting time!" Finn said angrily to Bell, "if he wants to stay, he can stay."
"No," Clarke said as Finn walked away once more, "he can't." She turned back to Bell and stepped in front of him, "we can't do this without you, Bellamy."
"What do you want me to say, Clarke?"
"I want you to say that you're with us." Clarke told him, "the both of you. Look, those kids out there listen to you."
"They're lining up to go." Bellamy said, "they listen to you more."
"I gave them an easy choice-"
"What?" I cut her of, "live or die? The Grounders are knocking on our door. As soon as we get out they will kill us... like every other time people left this camp."
"Stay here, and we'll be dead by tomorrow morning. Go, and we have a chance to survive. Now, grab a gun, we're going." Clarke walked off. As soon as she was out, Bellamy planted a kiss on my lips. "Grab a gun, Queenie. They'll die without us."We walked out of the gate, guns pointed in every direction. Bellamy and I were the last ones in the camp. "You did good here, Bellamy." I told him.
"18 dead." He sighed.
"82 alive," I replied, "you did good." He nodded and threw water over the still burning bonfire. A large smoke cloud rose up in the air, as we caught up with the rest of the 82. Those with bags walked in the middle, surrounded by those with guns. I was one of the gunners, Bellamy walked besides me, Clarke in front of us. Finn carried the stretcher, with one other boy, where Raven laid on. Octavia, Miller and Japser walked in the front of the group. It all went well, until on a moment the group stopped walking. "Why are we stopping?" I whispered, Bell shrugged as answer. In front a boy fell down. "GROUNDERS!" Jasper yelled, so as reply everyone panicked and ran back towards the camp. I helped Octavia close the gate once everyone was in, Bellamy climbed up the wall, Clarke joined him. "Lincoln said the scouts would be the first to arrive." Clarke said.
"If it's just scouts," Octavia said, "we can fight our way out. That's what Lincoln would do."
"We're done doing what that Grounder would do," Bellamy told his sister, "we tried and now Drew is dead. You wanna be next?"
"That Grounder saved our lives," Finn said, "I agree with Octavia. For all we know, there's one scout out there."
"That's right for all we know," I snapped, "there could be much more. And for what I just saw: only one Grounder made all of us panic, imagine what will happen with 10 scouts attacking. Chaos, that's what will happen. We'll spilt up and get killed one by one."
"They're looking at you, Princess," Bell said to Clarke, "what's it gonna be? Run and get picked up off out in the open... or stand and fight back?" Clarke was quiet for a moment, she looked at the forest, then back at the camp. At last she jumped down the wall.
"Clarke," Finn started, "if we're still here when Tristan gets here-"
"Lincoln said scouts" Clarke cut him off, "more then one. Olivia is right, there'll be chaos when we're out in the open and the scouts attack. Get home before the scouts arrive is what Lincoln said. Finn, they're already here." Then she turned to Bellamy, "looks like you've got your fight."
"Okay then," Bell said loudly to the crowd, so everyone could hear him, "this is what we've been preparing for. Kill them before they kill us. Gunners, to your posts. Use the tunnels to get in and out. From now on, the gate stays closed." I nodded, already seeing Harper disappear in a tunnel and Monroe going to her post. "So," Clarke said, "how the hell do we do this?"
"Olivia has been brainstorming."Okay, shortest chapter ever, sorry. Next chapter the real battle.
Hope you enjoyed anyways!
