It was dark when I woke up. I laid on my makeshift bed in my tent. I look around and saw that a letter was placed on my nightstand. I opened it and read:
Queen,
I'm looking for Charlotte. When you wake up, come after me.
-Bellamy
Immediately I stood up and put on my jacket. I grabbed my knife and ran out of the tent.In the distance I heard shouts of Murphy, and decided to ran towards it. Where Murphy was, was Charlotte, and where Charlotte was, was Bellamy. I ran until I saw a figure holding another figure. I hid behind a tree, it could be Murphy, and listened. A relieved sigh escaped my mouth when I heard it weren't Grounder, nor was it Murphy. "Charlotte." Figure one said, but I recognized it as Bell. "Bellamy." I whispered, which made Bellamy look up, "I found you."
Charlotte was the second figure. "Good, you're up." Bellamy said dragging me away along with Charlotte. "Let me go!" Charlotte shouted.
"I'm trying-" Bellamy started, but Charlotte started struggling more then ever, "I'm trying to help you." Bell let go of my wrist, I instead he slipped his hand in mine.
"I'm not your sister," Charlotte said, "just stop helping me!"Charlotte managed to get out of Bellamy's grip, but he kept holding my hand. "I'm over here!" Charlotte shouted at the lights in the distance.
"Are you trying to get the three of us killed?" I snapped at her.
"Just go, okay?" She said, "I'm the one they want."
"Okay, Charlotte, listen to me," Bell started, "I won't leave you."
"Same here." I told her.
"Please, Bellamy." Charlotte begged, and tried to run again. Bell let go of my hand and lifted Charlotte, so she couldn't run away anymore. We ran until we reached a cliff, three seconds later Murphy arrived and ten seconds after that Clarke and Finn joined us.
"You cannot fight fight all of us," Murphy said, "give her up." I grabbed Bellamy's hand.
"No way." I told Murphy.
"This has gone to far," Clarke said standing between Bell & I and Murphy, "just calm down. We'll talk about this." Murphy grabbed a knife, turned Clarke around and held it against her throat, "im sick of listening to you talk."
"Let her go." Finn told him.
"Back off," Murphy shouted, "I will slit her throat."
"No, please," Charlotte begged, "please don't hurt her."
"Don't hurt her?" Murphy respected, "okay, I'll make you a deal; You com with me, and I will let her go."
"Don't do it, Charlotte." Clarke managed to say.Charlotte tried to walk toward Murphy, but Bellamy held her back. "Murphy," I said, "this is not happening."
"I can't let any of you get hurt anymore," Charlotte said, tears were streaming down her cheeks, "not because of me. Not after what I did." With that, Charlotte turned herself around, and jumped over the edge of the cliff. Clarke started crying no and I sunk down on my knees. Tears slowly ran down my face.Bellamy turned around and ran towards Murphy. He pushed him to the ground and started hitting him. I didn't care anymore and whispered: "In peace, may you leave the shore. In love, may you find the next. Safe passage on your travels. Until our final journey to the Ground. May we meet again."
"Bellamy stop!" Clarke shouted, "you'll kill him!" I looked at the situation. Finn pulled Bell off Murphy. "He deserves to die!" Bell shouted.
"No," Clarke stepped in front of Bell, "we don't decide who lives or dies. Not down here."
"So help me, God," Bellamy shouted at her, "if you say the people have a right to decide, I'll-"
"No," Clarke cut him off, "I was wrong before. You were right. Sometimes it's dangerous to tell people the truth. But if we're gonna survive down here, we can't just live by whatever the hell we want. We need rules."
"And who makes those rules?" Bellamy asked, "you?"
"For now we make the rules, okay?"
"So what then?" I asked while walking over, "we just take Murphy back, pretending nothing ever happened?"
"No," Clarke looked at Murphy, "we banish him."We all shared an agreeing look, before Bell pulled Murphy up and pushed him near the cliff. He whispered something to Murphy. After that he pushed the boy back to the ground. "As for the four of you," Bellamy said to Murphy's friends, "you can come back and follow me. Or go off with him to die." It didn't surprise me that the four boys walked back towards camp, followed by Clarke. Finn left Murphy his knife. I looked at Murphy one more time, before Bell took my hand and walked away with me.
Clarke explained why Murphy was banished to the crowd. "Anyone got a problem with that?" Bellamy asked the delinquents, but they all shook their heads.
Finn walked away angrily, followed by Clarke, right after everyone with a wristband felt a shock. Octavia came out of the Drop Ship too. "Octavia?" I called her, while walking over, "did something happen?"
"The wristbands," she explained, "we fried them."
"So the Ark thinks we're dead?" Bellamy asked as he walked over. Octavia nodded slowly nodded. Without saying another word I walked towards my tent.I got out of my jacket and pushed down my pants, leaving me in my tank top again. I was about to lay down on my bed, when someone walked in. I grabbed my knife from my nightstand and turned around. Bellamy stood smirking in the tent opening. "Get out." I said and pointed at the door.
"But I just arrived." He said, closing the tent opening.
"Seriously Bell?" I said sitting down on the bed, while covering my legs with my blankets, "I'm not really in the mood for one of your games, right now."
"You're not the only one who just lost someone." Bell said, sitting down next to me. I laid my head in my hands.
"She didn't have to die." I whispered.Bellamy smashed his lips on mine all of a sudden. He fast pulled away, "I'm sorry for kissing you. I just... needed it." He murmured.
"We'll figure it out." I said and straddled his lap once more. I started kissing him again, and of course he kissed back. The only thing the both of us needed was that moment. Nothing more, nothing less. We had nothing but time. After 20 minutes of making out, I had the power to pull back. "It's been a rough night," I said and leaned my forehead against his, "we should sleep."
"Yes, you should, Queen." He whispered, he lifted me up and laid me down on the bed.
"Bellamy!" A boy shouted from outside the tent.
"Stupid moment ruining idiots." He murmured, I chuckled at his reaction.
"I think you got duty-calls, my King." I said and pulled the blanket over my body.
"Oh and Bell?" I said as he wanted to walk out, "we don't have to... you know... we don't have to talk about what just happened. I was out of my mind after the thing with Charlotte and just needed someone." There was no emotion on Bellamy's face, but after a few second he nodded.
"It's probably for the best. Goodnight." He walked out and started giving some delinquents orders. But I soon fell asleep, my lips still tickling.
