I roll over in my bed and bury my head into my feather pillow. I pull my eyes apart just enough to be able to see my dimmly lit digital clock beside my bed. 6:09am. Why am i awake? I normally dont even bother to wake up until 10am and then go either clean up some of the junk on the salvage yard or get ready. But i had nothing planned for today apart from meeting Cindy in an hour or two...

I decide, seen as i probably wont be able to go back to sleep, that i'd get in the shower and get some breakfast. So i do. I clambered into my small shower in my en-suite. I rub the shampoo into my long blonde hair, wash it out, and then rub in the conditioner. While loudly singing a tune i remembered from last night at the bar. I finally was out the conditioner and get out to dry my hair. I dry it in about 20 minutes and put on some clean clothes before making my way downstairs. I  grab myself a piece of toast and wander outside onto the yard trying to find Bobby. I look down near the garage and see Bobby talking to a tall, dark haired guy.

"What are you doing up at this time?" Bobby asked me, pulling me into a hug. "Uhm im meeting Cindy soon, is that alright?" I say smiling at him. He sighed.

"I told you, when you turn 19, your in the hunting business, no time for friends AJ! You're going with Sam once he's back from the hospital!" He explained. "I never agreed to this!" I yell and storm off to my room.

A few minutes pass by and i hear a knock on my door. "What?" I shout as I see the guy from earlier appear. "Can i come in?" He asks, I shrug. "Sure" I say. He closes the door behind him and sits next to me. "I'm Sam" He says smiling. "I guessed" I reply coldly. "And you must be Bobby's daughter?" He asks. I smile, "Mhm" I nod. He looks at my questioningly. "Adopted daughter" I reply. "Oh, I.. I didn't know, sorry" He replies. "Dont apologise!" I reply. He smiles and I nod. The silence between us didn't feel as awkward as I would have expected.
