I got up out my chair and walked over to the bed to grab my brush, walking back over to Sam who was currently looking at me like I was a fragile child. He grabbed my arm and pulled me to him, pulling me down onto his knee. "Sam, you don't have to do this" I say smiling slightly. "You gave me a hug when I needed one, I'm quite a few years late, but" He said and shrugged, hugging me. I hugged him back briefly and pulled myself away.

Why am I so awkward? What is wrong with me...

"So, tell me about Stanford" I say as I pull the brush through my wet hair. "Theres not uh... much to tell" He shrugged it off. "Oh come on" I beg. "Ugh... It was great, I finally felt like I belonged somewhere" He explained. "So, why did you come back to this?" I ask, trying not to sound offensive. "Dean and my dad needed me" He explained. I waited for a moment, hoping he would elaborate. "Come on, Sam. I've been surrounded by shitty people my whole life, I know when people are keeping the truth from me" I say, pressing for more answers. What was he trying to hide?

"If it's a difficult memory, you don't have to say" I add, trying to not seem too rude. "No, uh... Dean needed my help. So I went with him, expecting to be back at Stanford in no time. But when I came back, Jess, my girlfriend, had died" He said with difficulty. "Fuck" I muttered under my breath. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have pressed for answers" I say. "Don't. It's nice to remember those times sometimes. She was a great girlfriend but, it's in the past and it's time to move forward" He said, getting up from his chair. "Is... Is she the reason you didn't stay out tonight?" I asked. Sam looked like he thought for a minute before sighing, "No, that wasn't the reason". "What was the reason then? Just not interested like you said before?" I ask, feeling like I was being too nosey. He smiled slightly and seemed to blush, "I um... Kinda...." He began before being interrupted by his ringtone. He leant back and pulled it out of his pocket, quickly putting it to his ear. "Dean?" He asked. "Yeah alright, see you tomorrow" Sam hung up the phone and placed his phone on the table. "Guessing he got lucky?" I asked smirking, "Yea" Sam replied chuckling along.

Me and Sam spoke all night, I mainly let him talk. We spoke about his dad, mom, cases he'd been on, the lot. It was nice to feel close to someone again. It'd been so long.

I looked over at the clock on the night stand, 1am? Really? "I think it's getting pretty late, I'm going to turn in for the night" I say standing up and brushing my now dry hair again. "That's a good idea" Sam said, pulling some clothes out of his bag and heading for the bathroom. I headed to the bed furthest from the door and peeled back the covers, climbing under the slowly. The bed was cold but it felt nice against my currently red hot skin. I had always been the type of person to be warm constantly, even in winter. Sam exited the bathroom and walked over towards the other bed. He climbed in and we both laid there silently. "This is slightly awkward, right?" I speak up, Sam exhales with relief. "Thank god you think so too" He said. I giggled lightly. "Why is it even awkward?" I ask. Sam shrugged, "I don't really know" He said, still chuckling a little. "Well, Goodnight" I say and reach for the lamp in between us, flipping the switch which left us in total darkness. "Night AJ" Sam said quietly before ruffling his covers.

My eyes opened as I heard rustling by the side of my bed. I sat up and rubbed them harshly. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to wake you" Sam said as he turned around, topless. I looked at him for a second before coughing and looking away. "No, it's fine" I say and get out of bed, rushing off to the bathroom. Who knew Sam would have such a nice body?.

I sighed against the bathroom door and threw on some clothes quickly before exiting again. Sam smiled at me as he passed me to get into the bathroom, clutching a screwed up shirt to his still topless torso. Wow. I sat on the bed to pull on some socks before I heard gasping coming from the bathroom. I raised an eyebrow and took a step towards the bathroom, before I heard Sam yelling. "No..." I heard him grunt. "Sam..." I say, no response. Just more grunts and gasps from the other side of the door. I hesitantly turned the door handle and pulled open the door. Sam was hunched over the sink, peering into the dirty mirror in front of him, his face covered in water. "Sam, are you OK?" I ask. He took a minute to compose himself, and as I took a step forward he jumped round. "Yea... uh its nothing. Where's Dean?" He asks, pushing past me, still gasping. "What... just happened?" I asked. Before I could prompt for more answers, the front door of the motel swings open. "Gooood morning" Dean chimed as he stepped in. I was still taken aback by what happened, and clearly so was Sam, making Dean confused "What?". "Dean... I need to speak to you... outside" Sam said, walking out the door and dragging Dean with him.

OK. What is actually going on!
