"Hey Bobby" I said down the phone. "Whats happened" Bobby replied, sighing almost. "I tried" I responded. "AJ.. Tell me what happened" He replied instantly. "We were in the house and I... froze" "You froze?" "Yeah, Dean shot the clown, he started getting up and... I couldn't pull the trigger" "Did anyone get hurt?" "No" "Well then don't fret about it, you'll learn AJ" he responded, sighing with what seemed like relief. "I haven't gone with them today, to go find the clown" I say, knowing whats coming. "What, AJ! Why?! You've gone for a reason" He yelled. "I know Bobby. But if I'm doing this, then we're at least doing it my way. I'm easing my way in to it. OK?" I responded as calmly as I could. "Ugh... Fine" He says.

We talk a little longer and the phone until it starts to get dark, so I hang up the phone and leave the motel, going to the diner that was attached to the side of it. I ordered some fries and a burger and decided to just, people watch for awhile. It was pretty dark now and I still hadn't heard anything from Sam and Dean, or seen them go into the motel either. I dialled Dean's number and lifted it to my ear. It was quickly answered and sounds of panting echoed through the phone. "Dean...?" I ask, worriedly. "Yeah? AJ?" He asks panting, the line slightly crackling. "Are you guys okay?" "Yeah uh... we literally... just...uh killed it" Dean explained, panting after almost every word. "Oh good" I feel a wave of relief go over me "I'm in the diner if you guys want to pop round when you're done" I reply. "Yeah, see you soon. Bye" Dean says and hangs up. Just as I put the phone on the table, I notice a tall, dark haired guy approaching my booth, looking directly at me. I try to look away in hopes he wont sit down, but I clearly have bad luck, as he sat down straight across from me.

"Uh, hi?" I say to the man sitting now across from me. "Hi... Sorry I know this is weird..." He begins. "Kinda" I interrupt, looking over at him. He was good looking and seemed like he would be fairly charming, but I've had enough trouble with lads over the last couple years, so I wasn't interested in anyone right now. "I just, wondered if I could buy you a milkshake?" He asked. I lift an eyebrow confusingly "why?". "You looked nice, and you look like you need some company" He replied. I shrug. "My friends are coming soon" I reply bluntly. "I'll keep ya company till then... You like strawberry milkshake?" he asked as he flagged over a waitress. I nod and he orders, paying for the milkshakes in advance. He pushed it towards me and I muttered "Thanks", taking a sip and then going back to work on eating my fries. "So you live round here?" He asks. I shrug. "I guess I kinda live on the road now" I reply. "Oh thats interesting, uh... how come?" He asked, leaning forward. "I... Uh..." I began stuttering. Thankfully, I was saved by the bell as Dean and Sam just entered and walked over. "Hey AJ" Dean said, resting his hand on the booth seat above me, looking down at the guy. The guy across from me got up, "So um... I best get going. Could i... get your number, or something?" He asked nervously. I bite my lip awkwardly and slightly shake my head. "No, sorry. I won't be around here for very long so" I shrug. He awkwardly nods and walks off, Dean and Sam now joining me in the booth across from me.

"Breaking hearts left-right and centre are we?" Dean teased, I shrugged "What can I say" I laugh slightly. Dean reached for a chip and I slapped his hand away laughing, "Get your own".

It was the next day and we were all sat at the bar at Ellen's roadhouse. I pick up the beer that Ellen just put down, "You three did a hell of a job. Your dad'd be proud" She's smiles. I shake my head "It was all them, I don't want no credit". "Thanks Ellen" Sam laughs, nudging me slightly. Jo came and leant against the bar next to Dean and stared at both Sam and I. "Oh um..." I begin looking round. "Sam, wanna play pool?" I ask. Sam raises an eyebrow and I nudge him slightly and tilt my head towards Jo. He looks behind me towards Jo and nods "Yeah... um yeah" he says, getting up with his beer. We walk over to the pool table and just stand by it.

"So... how you feeling about this whole, coming with us on the road malarky?" Sam asks, pushing for answers. I shrug. "Not the type of lifestyle I want, but... It wasn't half bad. It's not just up to me though" I say, gesturing towards Sam. "What, us?" He asks, referring to him and Dean. I nod in reply. "We could do with some femininity around" He laughs and nudges me. "We got enough femininity with you, Sam" Dean yells in our direction chuckling. We all burst into laughter at Sam's expense, but he doesn't seem too bothered. "Jerk" Sam replies smiling, "Bitch" Dean responds. "I think I could get used to you guys" I say and carry on laughing.

Just at that moment, Ash entered through the backdoor carrying a bunch of things in his arms. "Where you guys been? Been waiting' for ya" He says in his country accent. "We were working a job, Ash. Clowns?"Sam replies as we both make our way over to the bar where Dean and now Ash were. "Clowns? What the f..." Ash begins before being cut off by Dean "You got something for us, Ash?". "Did you find the demon?" Sam replies. "It's nowhere around. At least, nowhere I can find. But if this fully bastard raises his head, I'll know. I mean, I'm on it like Divine on dog dookie" Ash responds. I giggle slightly at his words. "What do you mean?" I ask. "I mean, any of those signs or omens appear, anywhere in the world, my rig'll go off. Like a fire alarm" He turns his laptop to show a screen full of what seems to be data.

"Ash, where did you learn to do all this?" Sam asks, in disbelief. "M.I.T. Before I got bounced... for um, fighting". "M.I.T?" Sam asks. Ash nods. "It's a school in Boston" Ash shrugged. "Alright give us a call as soon as you know something?" Dean interrupts. Ash nods and we both make our way for the door. "Hey, listen - If you guys need a place to stay, I've got a few beds out back" Ellen says towards us. "Thanks, but no. Theres something I gotta finish" Dean replies.

And with that. We head for Bobby's.
