A week or so went by and Dean was still re-refixing his car after he wrecked it again. I wasn't even going to ask, I knew he probably needed that outburst. So I kept to myself most of the time. "hey uh... I was gonna go get some coffee. Any one want to come?" I ask as I go into the kitchen where all three men stood. "Nah, I'm good. Gonna finish her off today so" Dean shrugged. "Nah" Bobby shouted. Sam smiled "I will" he shrugged. "You sure?" I ask, looking at the mug in his hand. "Yeah, this is cold now anyway" He says and puts the mug on the table behind him. I look at him for a second before replying with "Alright, I'll go get my jacket". I walked round the corner and picked my jacket off a chair.

We walk to the truck and I climb into the drivers side. "So how are you feeling?" I ask, hoping he wouldn't snap. I didn't know how else to comfort him. "Yeah I'm okay. I think it's easier for me than it is for Dean, in some ways" He replies. "How so?". "I went off to college, so I wasn't around either of them much. And me and my Dad, we never saw eye to eye" He trailed off, looking out the window. "And Dean, he spent most of his time with dad. They went on hunts together and, he really looked up to him". "That makes sense" I nod, trying to be as sympathetic as possible without coming off as annoying. "Just want to make sure he's okay, you know?" He says. I nod. "Yeah, I get that. But you also need to make sure that you're okay." I say just as we pull up at the same coffee shop as before.

We order our coffee's and wait for them to be made. "We sitting in or taking home?" I ask as I grab my coffee. "Got some time to kill so let's sit... plus, feel like I've been quite distant from you all this week. Be nice to talk to someone thats not a book" He laughs as we make our way over to the seats that are free.

"So I wanted to mention a case I found" He starts. "Sam, I'm not going to know what your talking about" I giggle. "I know, but you should learn. Plus, I was mainly just going to ask if you wanted to come with us" He replied, chuckling too. "Alright so where is it? or what is it?" I shrug, taking a sip of my warm coffee. "It's in Red Lodge, there's been some severed heads found and a lot of dead cattle" Sam says. "Nice" I laugh. "I mean, if theres room for me then... I guess I could take another shot at it" I say hesitantly. "That's great" Sam says putting his hand on top of mine. I look over at him and after a few seconds he removes his hand. We finish our drinks and then make our way back to Bobby's.

Not long after we got home, we hit the road in the Impala. Dean was grooving along to his AC/DC cassette singing. "Whooo! Listen to her purr! Have you ever heard anything so sweet?" He shouted over the music. Sam turned it down slightly. "You know, if you two wanna get a room, just let me know, Dean" Sam chuckled. "Oh, don't listen to him, baby. He doesn't understand us" Dean responded, tapping his dashboard. "Wow, you're in a good mood" I chime in from the back. "Why shouldn't I be?" he asks. "No reason" I shrug. "Got my car, got a case, things are looking up" He replied quickly. "Wow. Give you a couple of severed heads and pile of dead cows, and you're Mister Sunshine" Sam chuckled.

"How far to Red Lodge?" Dean laughed. "About another three hundred or so miles" I replied, looking down at the map. Dean chuckles and floors the car.

We pulled into the motel and Dean went and got one room. He came back with the key and unlocked it to see two double beds at one end of the room. "So... how is this going to work?" I say dropping my bag. You can stay in my bed if you want" Dean said, nudging me and winking in my direction. His face slightly dropped when he saw the expression on my face that I made unintentionally. "It's alright, me and Dean will share" Sam said laughing while placing a hand on my shoulder. "Thanks" I say relieved, touching his hand that was still rested on my shoulder. I look up at him and then quickly move my hand away. What was that?

"Right so AJ. Me and Dean are going to go talk to the Sheriff. Then we will come back and all go to the morgue together. OK?" Sam instructed. I nodded. "Yeah, I'll be here waiting" I reply. "Great, we'll only be half an hour or so" Dean replied. They both walked out the door, leaving me in the empty motel room.

It felt like forever since they had gone, but they eventually pulled back up outside. The loud exhaust ringing through the motel room. I run out and jump into the back of the car. "How was it?" I ask as we speed off to the morgue. "Didn't get much more information" Dean replied, slightly annoyed. I sigh and sit back in the seat, and before we know it, we're pulling up to another building. "Put this on" Sam says, throwing me a lab coat that he had stashed in the boot of Dean's car. We all put on the white coats and enter the morgue. I enter first, seeing an intern in the room. I read his 'J. Manners' tag on his coat. "John" I exclaim, knowing Sam and Dean were staring daggers into my back. "Jeff" He corrects me. "Right, Jeff. I knew that. Sorry!" I explain, patting his shoulder. "Look. Dr.Dworkin needs to see you in his office, right away" I explain, rubbing the top of his arm and smiling. "But, he's on vacation..." He questions. "Well, he's back. and he's pissed, and he's screaming for you, man. So if I were you I would..." Dean says and then whistles. The intern runs out the room and we both laugh a little.

"Hey. Those satanists in Florida, they marked their victims, didn't they?" Dean asks. "Yeah, reversed pentacle on the forehead" Sam replied. We all put on latex gloves and Sam opened a compartment to wheel out a corpse, with a box between its legs.

"All right, open it Sammy" Dean says. "You open it" Sam hits back. "Wusses" I say, reaching for the box and walking it over to another table. I flip the lid off and jump back a little. I knew what was coming - but that didn't mean I was prepared. "No pentagram" Dean said, looking closely. "Poor girl" Sam replies, looking grossed out. "Maybe we should, uh, you know. Look in her mouth? see if those wackos stuffed anything down her throat. You know, kinda like the moth in Silence of the Lambs" Dean says. I look at him confused and just giggle a little. He is such an idiot. "Yeah, here, go ahead" Sam said, slightly pushing the box towards Dean. "No, you go ahead" Dean replies. "What?" Sam asked. "Put the lotion in the basket" Dean says, quoting Silence of the Lambs. "Do not make me show you up again, guys" I say sternly. "Right, yeah. Whatever... Dean, get me a bucket" Sam says. As we search the mouth, Dean spots something, so he presses against the gum and a sharp tooth descends. "A tooth" Sam says. "Sam, thats a fang. Retractable set of vampire fans. You gotta be kidding me" Dean responds. "What the fuck..." I say in awe. Sam gives me a sympathetic look as I am lost for words.

"Well this changes things"
