Sam:

I got out've the car slowly, still groggy from sleep. "You look exhausted." Tori commented from the sidewalk.

"I woke up 20 minutes ago and according to Ky, I can't have coffee." I replied, sending a glare in my roommate's direction.

From behind the wheel, Ky hollered,"It gives you bad breath!"

"He's marrying me, not my breath!" I retorted crankily, crossing my arms childishly.

"Well, if he smells coffee breath at the altar, he may say "no". Just saying." Ky replied sassily, getting out of the car herself. "Now, the wedding's in 4 hours. We need you dressed, makeup'd and have your hair done, along with ours, before 10:00." She continued, going all business.

"We gonna do her or us first?" Tori asked, and Ky sighed.

"To save Sam grief on her wedding day, we'll go first." She decided, and I shot her a grateful look, the coffee incident almost forgotten in the wake of a bigger problem.

This should be easy. No problem....

Three hours later, I sat in one of the empty classrooms, Ky and Tori pounding on the locked door in front of me. "Sam! Sam! You need to get ready!" They repeated for the seventh time.

My head was between my knees, and my heart was pounding so fast I was afraid it would explode. Wrapping my arms around my knees, I sat there in a ball, trying to keep the world out, trying to make the noise go away.

At first, I thought it had worked, then I realized they had just stopped. I could hear hushed tones, then the door whooshing open. Footsteps sounded, the door closed, and Nicole wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "What's wrong, cuz?"

Lifting my head up slightly, I whispered,"Am I doing the right thing? Marrying Niall?"

Using her almost superhuman hearing, Nicole heard it, and she pulled me against her side for a much-needed hug. "Well, everyone else seems to think it's a good idea." She stated, without giving away her opinion.

Pulling my head out fully, I asked her directly. "Do you think it's the right thing?"

My cousin smiled, brushing a strand of hair out've her face. "Let me put it to you this way:I haven't seen you this happy in a long time. Not since your parents died." I opened my mouth to protest, but Nicole continued, "And don't call that hyperactive happy-go-lucky routine happiness. I've known you for almost all of your life, you can't fool me Samantha." I clamped my mouth shut, and Nicole smirked. "But when you're with Niall...." She trailed off, her expression distant. "You look like you did when we were kids, without a care in the world. Sometimes, I think the reason the accident hit you so hard and altered you so drastically is because despite all your rebel baloney...you were happy. And you look the same when you're with Niall. So yeah, I think it's the right thing. But it's your choice." She finished gently.

Looking down at the floor, I bit my lip.

"But I'll have you know.... If you don't want him, I don't mind walking down the aisle and taking that hottie for myself." Nicole added.

Rolling my eyes, I looked back up at her. "Well, when you put it that way...."

We both laughed, rising to our feet. Smiling, I pulled Nicole in for a hug, then walked towards the door.

"Oh...another notice... I invited my family. Including my sisters." Nicole added, and I froze. Spiraling slowly, I turned back towards her. "You serious?"

Nicole nodded, and I sighed. "No backing out now, right?"

She shook her head, and I shrugged. "K. I'll just wear armor."

When I opened the door, Ky and Tori looked up from the other side of the hall. Exhaling slowly, I smirked.

"Let's do this poo."

Another two hours later, I stood in front of a mirror, examining myself in the reflection.

Ky had managed to make my hair look good(for the first time in forever), leaving it to hang around my shoulders gently. All the dye had been washed away, leaving me with my normal blond hair instead of what I would've preferred, which was getting my hair multi-streaked, so I could look like a rainbow.

I had actually expressed my opinion(along with a lot of funky colours) to Ky. Her response was, and I quote,

"Samantha, the only way you will be walking down the aisle looking like a punk-rock metalhead is if I'm dead. So don't even try."

Anyways, Tori had done my makeup, applying a "natural yet flattering" layer of makeup over my face. My eyelids were a lilac colour(something I insisted on), and my lips were a soft shade of pink.

As usual(for a wedding), I had a veil. It trailed down my back until my hips, with a light green headband decorated with pink and white flowers holding it in place.

Finally, my dress.

It was white ballgown that trailed on the floor slightly, hiding my shoes, which were my sneakers(I had to draw the line somewhere, didn't I?). The skirt was loose and flowy, and the top-which had long sleeves that billowed around my shoulders, but tightened around my wrist- fit like a shirt that's a little snug-tight, but not unbearably tight-.

All in all....

I looked like a wannabe angel.

Calvin coughed from behind me, causing me to spin. He smiled. "You look beautiful. Mom and Dad would be proud." He said softly, pecking me quickly on the cheek.

Ky popped her head around the corner. "I'm on in 10. You're on in 30." She quickly announced, before withdrawing.

I smiled, extending my elbow for Calvin to take. He took it in an escort-like position, giving my hand a reassuring squeeze. Thirty seconds went by, then we entered the church.
