(Third Person)
Sam drained the beer bottle, whooping loudly as she did. Her classmates cheered drunkenly along with her, their shirts stained with alcohol and other...liquids. Making her way through the crowd, Sam spotted her friend Marsha, who was hosting the party in question. "Marshaaaa!" She called, butting in between the circle of girls.
"Saaaaaaam!" Marsha teased, downing a shot glass.
"Thank you sooooo much for inviting me! I totally needed this!" Sam hollered over the pounding music.
"Not a problem, girl! Anything for my bestie!" Marsha replied, the two quickly embracing.
The hug was cut off when Sam felt her cell phone vibrating in her back pocket. Frowning, she pulled it out, then gaped as she read the screen. "Sh-t, it's my Dad! What do I do?" She panicked, shaking Marsha's shoulders. "They'll kill me!"
Marsha rolled her eyes. "Just go upstairs, where it's quieter."
Sam sighed in relief, racing up the stairs.
"Are you really friends with that goody-two-shoes?" One of the other partygoers asked, making a face.
Giggling, Marsha replied,"Well, she's got a cute brother. What's not to like?" sending the entire group into laughter.
Upstairs, Sam pushed a snogging couple to the side, finally picking up her phone. "Hello?"
"Hi honey!" Dad called through the phone. "Mom and I were just calling to see how the sleepover with Ky was going. I'm so glad you two made up. Good friends like her are hard to find."
Sam hesitated for a second, before replying,"Oh, yeah! It's going great! We're having a movie marathon. We just finished She's The Man, moving on to Sydney White. I think Ky's about to start it-" before Sam finished her lie, her dad cut in.
"Sam, we know you're at Marsha's party."
The colour drained from Sam's face, and she asked defeatedly,"How?"
"Your mom just got off the phone with Ky's mom." He replied, and Sam cringed. "I figured it out right away, I just wanted to see if you'd lie to me."
In a sudden burst of anger, Sam declared,"If you had let me go, none of this would've happened!"
Her dad sighed. "Sam, please-"
"No!" She interrupted. "Why do you have to make my life miserable? What'd I ever do to you? You're just trying to take all the fun out of my life so I'll become a lawyer like you want me to! You can't do that! I hate this life, and I hate YOU!"
The line went silent, then her father replied emotionlessly,"We will be there in 15 minutes after we pick up Kyle. I suggest you be waiting outside so the risk of embarrassment is kept to a minimum." Then the line went dead.
Fuming, Sam stormed downstairs, pushing everyone aside until she reached the door. Reaching down, she grabbed another beer can, popped it open, and chugged half of it,before she walked out into the cool night air. Walking to the curb, Sam finished the beer, throwing it onto Marsha's front porch, before she waited for her parent's SUV to drive into sight, mentally preparing a series of comebacks to use on her parents.
Soon enough, the SUV rolled into sight. Rolling her eyes, Sam prepared to get her eardrums blown off, before she noticed the thin sheen of ice that streaked across the highway, left over from the winter.
Just as she noticed, the front tires drove across the ice.
The car went crazy, skidding across the road in a desperate attempt to stay on-course. But as Sam watched, the car began to spin, until it hit the side of the road, flipped, and landed tires-up on the side of the road.
Her heart in her mouth, Sam raced to the flipped car, praying desperately that everyone was OK.
When Sam reached the vehicle, she spotted the 3 bloody figures, none of them moving.
"Nononononononono...." She began chanting, reaching inside in a desperate attempt to find life. "No no no no no...."
Meanwhile, the community nearby had noticed. Houselights flickered on and voices rose in the starlight night. The voices neared Sam, but she could barely hear them. Everything seemed warped and twisted, and all she could hear was the painful sound of the car flipping, then landing with a crunch.
It echoed in her brain continuously, an almost pounding sound that shook Sam to the very core.
Soon, Sam realized people were tugging on her arms, asking her questions. But she couldn't hear the words, just the voices, adding onto the crash noises, making a nightmarish background melody to the pounding of her heart.
All Sam could do was watch, petrified, as the paramedics lifted 3 body bags from the car, all pronounced "Dead at Scene".
"No...." She whispered,"Please God, no...."
-Now-
"And that is why I have vowed to never drink." Sam concluded, looking up at Niall from her position on his lap.
His eyes were wide, looking down at her. "Oh my goodness." He said, unable to say anything else. Sam sighed, hiding her eyes in the crook of her elbow, trying to wipe her tears away. "Oh babe." Niall whispered, pulling her up onto his chest, settling back with her in bed. His hand went to her back, rubbing gentle circles against his wife's skin. Letting her walls down, Sam began to cry into Niall's shoulder.
There they sat, Niall comforting Sam, for hours. That was his way of letting her know that he would always be there for her, always protecting her, always loving her.

Yes, it is over!!

Scary thought....
I got all my sentimental stuffz out in the epilogue. I just wanted to write about the accident and give it a bit more perspective.
Life Lesson(s): don't lie, don't disobey your parents, don't get such crappy friends(get good ones that care about you), and don't go to high school parties.
