-Phone conversation between unknown man and woman-

"Sorry about Sam, by the way. She's stressed."

"I'm sure she'll perk up."

-le sigh-"Y'ever heard of the story of Zel?"

"No. Why?"

"Well, the chick's locked up in a tower, and she goes loony."

"What's that got to do with anything?"

"A lot, Ni. More than you currently realize. You'll see though."

Niall's pov

We pulled up into the driveway. Ky ran out to meet Tori, who pulled her into a hug. We all piled out accordingly, tired from the tour. "Hey Tori, Alexia, Brielle." We all smiled. Tori bit her lip. "Sam's in her room. Having a............... Bad day." She shot a look at Ky, who began to look worried. "C'mon." We climbed up the stairs to Sam's room. Ky knocked. "Sam? You in there?" There was a scream, then a, "STUPID SCOTT!!! STUPID STUPID STUPID!! STUPID PHOENIX TOO!!! DIE PHOENIX DIE!!!" A familiar voice wailed. "Sam? S'me." Ky poked her head in, only to be attacked by an encyclopedia. "Very bad day." Tori added.

"I'M CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE!!!! LEAVE A MESSAGE PLEASE!!!" Sam hollered. Ky turned to us boys, who looked confused. "Cramps. Very bad cramps." She summed up. "She's also gotten crazier, which livens up the house." alexia laughed. "Aren't you worried about her?" Louis asked. Tori shook her head, just as a little face peeked out from the door. "Aunty Tham's not feeling good. Niull!!!" She screeched as I picked her up and tickled her. "Sam's also been feeling down about something else." Brielle said quietly. Alexia elbowed her. "Not now!" she hissed. Ky looked confused. "Later." Tori whispered, as the twins came running up the stairs to us. "We goes to shool!!" They squealed. "School." Tori corrected. There were hugs all around, and finally Sam emerged from her den, looking pretty bad. Her hair was a mess, she had black rings under her eyes, and her face was a teary red. "Hi." She said quietly, pulling a brush through her hair. Her eyes looked tired, and depressed.

"I'm fine by the way. I'm just emotionally broken." Ky gave her a hug. Tori then whistled. "C'mon! I bet you're all hungry!" Everybody ran down the stairs, but Sam caught my arm. "Can I talk to you guys?" Ky nodded. I did too. Sam sniffled, and a tear rolled down her cheek.

"It's about Calvin." Ky gasped. "What happened?" Sam started crying. "He's missing in action!!" She wailed. I took her into my arms, and after a few moments, she stopped. "I got leave off work." Ky had a hand over her mouth, and tears rolling down her face. "No. Not Calvin. Not him too!" Ky murmured. "Travis is coming home." Sam added quietly. Ky ran into her room and shut the door. We could hear her sobbing. "They've known each other for longer than I've known Calvin." Sam sniffled. I rubbed her head. "It'll be ok." She smiled up at me, then looked down the stairs. "Hotdogs. I haven't eaten in days." She said quietly. I gasped dramatically. "Well then." I picked her up and ran down the stairs with her. "Nialllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!" She squealed. We both laughed.

I'm going to do everything in my power to make Sam happy. Everything.
