"C'mon, Lad!" came the loud voice that was Harry's. He was running down the row of empty arena seats, while I was...babysitting them. Zayn came running down the parallel row of floor seats, and tried catching up to Harry. Harry jumped over a few chairs, with Zayn at his tail. Zayn tried jumping the chairs, but failed, mercifully, and ended up falling on his face, which cracked Harry up.
"Guys." I said, rubbing my temples a few rows away from the destructive duo. "You're giving me a headache."
"We always give you headaches." said Harry. "You just have a concussion, is all."
"Yeah, maybe you should start working so I don't...I don't know, loose a bunch of good brain cells?"
"If there's any left." whispered Zayn.
I stood up. "I heard that."
Zayn smirked, and leaped over more rows of chairs. Meanwhile, Liam came up to be from behind.
"Hey." he said, sitting down next to me.
"Hey yourself."
"Look, I just wanted to let you know, you won't be singing in the song that we recorded because of your concussion. Simon doesn't even want you working for the next two weeks so you can get better, allright?"
I looked at him. "You sure you guys won't need me?"
"We can manage." He said. "Don't worry."
We sat there in silence for a couple of seconds.
"Liam, what should I do?"
"What do you mean?" he asked, stretching him arms and yawning.
"What should I do with my life, I mean. You do know that I've got a three way street ahead of me, right?"
"Yeah, I'm aware."
"I'm just so conflicted. I don't want to leave you guys, but what if I want to get a degree at college? What if I want to skate in the Olympics? Do you know how much of a huge deal that is for me?!"
Liam shrugged.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It's not a huge deal."
"Why do you say that?"
"We already knew that you're destined for greatness in the realm of figure skating, Hayley, so it's nothing new to us."
"Really?" I asked, feeling kinda down.
"Yes." said Liam, then quickly changed the mood. "I mean, you are one of a kind. You excel at whatever you set your heart to, and you do a fantastic job. You're persistent, and never give up, which is why you are so successful. Do you really need a gold medal to prove it?"
"Yes."
"Well, I think your paycheck proves enough, honestly." said Liam, getting up. "Anyway, you go take the night off. Do whatever, but don't ask me, because I'll have to say no, and if you want to go out into the city, bring Dallas with you, and take care of yourself so that you'll actually heal, nothing too bizzare, okay?"
"Can I go to the-"
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that." He said. "Or else I'll have to say 'no, Simon says to go to bed'."
"Haha." I said. "You said Simon says."
Liam rolled his eyes and walked away.
I sighed and rubbed my forehead. The migraines were terrible. Honestly.
-----------------------
"So." I said to my blue eyed, brunette boyfriend as we walked down the chilly street in London. "How's your ankle been?"
Dallas nodded. "It's getting better."
"That's good." I said. We were just plainly strolling down a street with Bistros and small shops. It wasn't very crowded because everyone was down at the stadium for the concert; even the paparazzi.
The cold air sent shivers down my spine, and Dallas draped his sports coat around my arms.
I smiled at him. "Thanks."
We walked about a block, not doing much, when Dallas found a bench on the side of the street and sat down. "Lets rest." He said. "My ankle's killin' me and I ain't got no purpose walking down the rest of the street. Betcha head is botherin' you too."
His accent was so southern. I couldn't even believe he had ever lived in southern California after living in Nashville.
"Yeah." I said as I flattened my navy blue skirt and sat down next to him. He wrapped his arm around me and smiled.
I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder. We stared into the dark sky, and watched the millions of stars twinkle. It was a pretty sight.
"Hayley?" Asked Dallas.
I lifted my head and looked at him.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"You know, liking me for who I am."
"Dal." I said, rolling my eyes. "You know everyone likes you for who you are.
"No, not really." He said. "They like Popstar Dallas Cook, not just Dallas Cook."
"What about your bandmates?"
"Well, you know what they say." He whispered. "Make new friends, but keep the old."
I nodded. "True, true."
Dallas turned to look at me straight in the eyes. They made me melt inside. I felt like I was going to die from his gorgeous blue eyes.
"Hayley, thanks for being my girlfriend. You've been here for me as always, and I'll never forget you."
I felt something snap in my head. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Why are you saying this?"
"No reason." He said, blushing. "I uh, just wanted to say something."
Ohhhh. I get it now.
"Sorry if I scared you or anything, I've just never said anything like this before to anyone."
"No, no, it's fine, really. That was a pleasant surprise."
Dallas blushed even darker.
"I'm glad to call you my own, too." I said, placing my right hand on his cheek.
Then the best moment of my life began.
Dallas held his gaze, and smiled. He slowly took my hands and moved them around his neck, then slid his arms around my waist. I could feel his body warmth, which made me feel warm as well. Our eyes were locked, and he tilted his head toward mine and we kissed for the third time in our relationship. It made me feel all hot and messy inside, and I couldn't help but smile.
"And this is why we love you guys." said a paparazzi guy, snapping a picture of our kiss.
I hadn't known yet, but I was going to be on the cover of almost every single magazine in the world, with what would soon be known as, "Couple's first kiss" I wasn't angry, I was a bit shocked at the moment, but the fact that two of America's sweethearts actually hooked up, made news everywhere.
Just when I thought being out of the spotlight was over for me, it came back with a flash.
