[Chapter 8]

Sumi (POV) 

When he kissed me, I didn't know what to do afterwards. All of a sudden he just kissed me and thinks that everything will be fine after it. 

Jungkook: Now I'm someone special, because I just stole your first kiss. 

After when he said that to me, I immediately slapped him right in the face. He then turn his head back to me. 

"You should get out of my house before everything gets more worse for you."

I turn around from him and back to Eunwoo. 

Jungkook: Why? 

When he asked me that, I stayed quiet and didn't respond back. 

Jungkook: Why are you not opening up to me? What's wrong with me being you friend or try to be close to you?

I stayed quiet and still didn't respond back. Not because I didn't want to, because I didn't know what to say to him. 

Jungkook: Sumi. I just need a honest answer from you. Nothing else. 

I stood back up from the ground, turned around to face him once again. 

"I don't know Jungkook. I just want you stay away from me. I don't want you to ruin your own life just to be friends with me."

Jungkook: You're not going to ruin my life, Sumi. How are you so sure that you're going to ruin my life?

"My life is full of complications and a lot of violence involved. I don't want the same thing in your life. You're new into this town and I don't want you to experience these things."

Jungkook: You're worried. 

"About what?"

Jungkook: About me. You're worried about me. You're worried that something bad will happen to me and that it's going to be all your fault. You don't want me to be friends with you because you care about me. 

When he said that to me I suddenly got quiet. I didn't know what to say to him. 

Jungkook: You're actually worried about me. Sumi? The girl name Sumi is worried and care about me.

"I never said anything like that to you. You just thought of it yourself."

Jungkook: Yea but your words are accurate to my words just now. There is no way you can deny it now.

I just let out a sigh and about to turn around but all of a sudden he hugged me out of nowhere. As he was hugging me, I heard him sob once more like before. I pulled back and look at him. He try to look away from me but I stopped him by holding his cheek. 

"Why are you crying every time when you hug me?"

Jungkook: It's just that nobody ever care about me this much as you did just now. 

"Then what about your parents?"

Jungkook: They never really show me their love. That's why I moved here, to start a new life. 

When he said that to me, I could actually felt his pain. Without thinking much, this time I was the one that hugged him and he hugged me back.

NEXT MORNING 

Eunwoo was feeling better and he went back home just about 20 minutes ago and now I was walking around the park with Jungkook. I didn't know but I think it's not that bad to have him as a friend. I didn't confirm it yet that we're friends, but I think I should. As we were walking having some fresh air, talking, and laughing. Something suddenly ruins the moment and that something was Hyeri. 

Hyeri: So this is where you've been. Why didn't you tell me you were here?

I look at her confused and now I was looking at Jungkook. 

Hyeri: Oh didn't he tell you Sumi. Jungkook and I go way back. We know each other before you even know him. 

Jungkook: Hyeri stop talking. It's not useful for you to talk about it. 

Before Hyeri could even speak again, Jungkook took my hand and started walking away. As we walk away from there, I could see sadness in his eyes. I stopped walking and he stopped as well. 

"Want to talk about it? Maybe it could help you to start healing by talking it out."

He look at me and he sat down on a bench and I sat down after him. 

Jungkook: Hyeri and I used to date way back. We were a happy couple. We even talk about marrying each other in the future. Everything was going great until she saw someone better than me. Someone that is more rich, that has a nice house, that has a car, that has a better future than I did. When she knew her answer, she broke up with me. 

I didn't know what to say but to only listen to him. 

Jungkook: She told me that I wasn't good enough for her. That even tho I could make her happy, I couldn't give her what she want. Also that I'm not capable in taking care of her or bringing her a bright future. That I'm just going to be a burden to her. But you know what's the worts part out of all of her words? She said to me that I'll always remain as a poor boy who has no-one's love. A poor boy with dirty clothes. A poor boy with a low life. And that no body wouldn't care about someone like me in a lifetime. 

Without noticing, tears were streaming down my cheeks. 

Jungkook: She even threw money at my face yelling at me like an animal, just to leave her alone. Thinking that all I want from her is money. That's what hurts me the most. She threw her money at my face, making me look so worthless in front of her. 

He then look at me and he started wiping my tears off of my cheeks. 

"I'm sorry. I didn't know you went through all of that."

Jungkook: It's okay. You didn't know and also it was long time ago so I don't really mind anymore. 

"Yes."

Jungkook: What?

"Yes. I would like to be your friend. You need someone by your side and I think I can help heal your wound for you."

He smiled and hugged me and I did the same. 

Jungkook: Thank you. 

"No problem. Besides I think the two of us can get along just fine due to our past."
