[Chapter 13]

Sumi (POV) 

While Jungkook was hugging me, I decided to hug him back. But before I could even do that, we then heard a gunshot behind us. I broke the hug and turned around only to see Yura holding a gun in her hands as dad was also surprised. 

"Yura?! What are you doing?!"

I was about to run up to him but Jungkook held me back while holding onto my left arm. I turned around to face him and look at Yura back and forth. 

"You guys plan this whole entire time?! How could you Jungkook?!"

Jungkook: I can't help it, Sumi. When I first saw you with him, I'm scared that he'll hurt you. So I have no choice but to call Yura for help. But my words that I said to you was real. 

I gave him a blank face. 

"Like I'll believe that."

I try to release myself from him, but he held onto me even more tighter than before. 

Jungkook: So you're saying that you trust him more than us? Didn't you forget about something Sumi? He killed your grandparents and he tried to kill Yura. He even harm your mom, you, and Yura. Did you forget all of that? 

"At least he's trying to help me."

Jungkook: Help you with what?! Help you turn into a psychopath like him. I won't let that happen. 

"He's helping me survive Jungkook, don't you get it!"

I yelled at him while I yanked my arm away from his hold, which I succeeded. I then turned back around to face Yura. I was about to step towards him, until Yura shot near my feet. 

Yura: I'm sorry, Sumi. If you move another step towards him, I'll have to stop you. 

I gave her a disgusted look. 

"This is your way of helping me?"

Just before I could blank my eyes, another gunshot was heard as Yura dropped her gun onto the ground as all of us turned our attention to where that sound came from. There was Yoojung aiming her own gun at Yura. 

Yoojung: What are you waiting for?! Take your dad and leave. 

As I was about to walk up to him, Jungkook held me back while holding onto my waist. 

Jungkook: Don't leave with him, please. If you leave, you lose me and I don't want that to happen. 

"I already lost you Jungkook. The moment when I realize that we're not match to be together. The moment when we had our first time, that was the moment when I realize that I lost you ... for good."

His face expression then became soft and unexplainable. I took his arms away from my waist and took a few steps back away from him. I turned around, walked up to my dad, and helped him up. Yoojung also helped me with my dad. While walking away, I heard Jungkook yelling back at me. 

Jungkook: No matter what you say, I'll never give up on you! I will find a way to reach to you again.  

I ignored his words and kept on walking.

I placed my dad on a chair, while Yoojung was treating my dad as I looked around this unfamiliar place. 

"What is this place anyways? Why haven't I've seen this place before?"

Yoojung: Because it's my secret place and I think you don't need to know about it. 

Just before I could turn around, I was being held captive. I turned around and it was my dad. 

"What are you doing?! Let me go!"

Dad: I'm sorry, but I need to do this. To make sure that you're really not soft for them. 

My dad dragged me towards the living room and placed me on a table while there was wires everywhere around me. I looked towards Yoojung and she had the same expression. 

"What are you guys doing?!" 

Yoojung: We're going to erase your memories to make sure that you'll get a fresh start. 

"No. No!"

I was struggling against them, while the both of them tied me down onto the table. Yoojung took out the machine and ready to place the tabs on me. Before I could even try to free myself, I then heard someone yelling and screaming. Not long after that, before Yoojung could put it on both my temples, someone broke into the house and ran towards the living room. I looked towards that person. 

"Jungkook? Yura?"

Jungkook: Let her go right now!

Yura and Jungkook charged towards them and my dad ran towards them, attacking both of them. Before I could even call out their names, Yoojung already put it on my temples and pushed the button. I screamed in pain while my memories were quickly taken away. 

[Memories showing up in rewind.] 

Just then everything went black. 

Jungkook (POV) 

As Yura and I were fighting against her dad, I then suddenly heard Sumi screamed. I look up to her and she was already being memory washed. 

"NOOO!!"

Before I could get to her, her dad stopped us one more time. As Sumi's eyes closed, Yoojung ran away. Before her dad could escape as well, I pulled him right back and knocked him out completely. I ran up to Sumi which Yura was already there beside her taking off the electronics away from her as I was uniting her, while she was unconscious. While Yura was done uniting her, I held onto her body into my arms. 

"Come on, Sumi. Wake up."

Yura came to me as I drop down onto the ground with her in my arms. Yura walked and sat on the ground while trying to calm me down.

Sumi was lying down on my bed, while Yura and I were watching over her. Their dad was sent right back into jail for what he did and now we are just looking for Yoojung, but what matters now the most is Sumi. It's been already 2 days and yet she's not awake yet. I was starting to get worried but Yura encouraged me to stay calm. 

It was already night time and Yura was taking a nap while I was full awake waiting for Sumi to wake up. Just before I could walk out of the room, I saw Sumi moving. I speed walk towards her and held onto her hands.

"Sumi? Sumi can you hear me?"

After a while, she finally opened her eyes and I smile widely seeing her beautiful eyes once again. But then my smile faded when she gave me a confused look. That is when I realize, she really did lost all her memories. Before she could even speak, I spoke first. 

"Don't worry, Sumi. I'll help you remember me soon. Just wait a little longer."
