Tiffany's POV
"I thought you're not going to forget me? You said you'll always remember me." The girl in front of me is nearly crying.
"I did not." I answered.
She wiped her eyes as a lone tear escaped from it. She smiled "You already did." She said before vanishing out of my sight until I can't see even her silhouette.
"Don't go!" I shouted but she was completely gone. I am now crying and I almost fall off a cliff but...
I woke up.
It was only a dream but tears are falling from my eyes. It's been the same dream ever since I was 13. I don't know why it's always like that, why I can't clearly see the girl's face but I know it's always the same girl. I sighed and checked my phone. My eyeballs almost went out of its socket after seeing the time. Shoot! It was 9am already and I have a meeting at 10—A very important one.
I did everything to make it on time but I'm still 30 minutes late for the meeting. It's one on one meeting with another company's CEO. I'm the president of our own company and I have to close this partnership with them. I hope the CEO isn't mad at me.
"This is very unprofessional of you Ms. Hwang." The girl said after I arrived at our rendezvous. I bowed and sincerely said my apology to her.
"You do know that I'm a very busy person right? I can't waste my time." She said in a bit... irritated voice. I looked up to see her face and I was slightly taken a back after seeing her face. The CEO looks like a goddess. She was taller than me but she looked so young.
I immediately erased the thoughts that was running on my mind after I realized that I was checking her out. I composed myself and prepared to say an excuse, "I just had a..." Should I say nightmare? It's so lame as an excuse. Is that even valid? I suddenly remembered what my dream was and I started to tremble as tears continuously pour out of my eyes.
"Ms. Hwang? Ms. Hwang are you okay?" The other girl tapped my shoulder as she asked those things. There's a hint of worriedness in her voice and somehow, I felt like opening these things to her.
"I... I h---had a n...nightmare." I said and my voice got shakier.
"Oh my gosh, stop crying please." She said and hugged me. "You're okay now, I'm here with you. Nothing will hurt you so please stop crying Mi Young-ah"
"H---how did you know that name?" I managed to ask between my sobs, I was shocked to know that she already knew me or my name in this case. Maybe she looked it up on my profile but I always go with the name Tiffany or Stephanie. No one called me that name since I was 13. But wait... Am I that busy to not even take a look at the profile of the CEO I am meeting now? So unprofessional of you, Tiffany.
"That's not important for now, please stop crying first. It hurts me to see you in a state like this." She said while rubbing the small of my back.
"B...but she left me. I don't know why, how or what. I just felt like someone left me and it really hurts." I replied and my sobs got louder. It's echoing in the room we were in. Good thing that there are no other people here except from the two of us. I want to let this feeling out right now with a stranger.
"I—I'm here. Don't worry, I will never leave you. I'll always stay by your side." She said and she pulled from the hug. She cupped my face delicately as if it was the most precious thing she has ever seen and she looked straightly at my eyes.
"Stop crying Mi Young-ah" she whispered while wiping my tears using her thumb. I somehow felt calm by staring directly at her while feeling her hand against my cheek. Little by little, I stopped crying but our position is still the same. It was getting awkward and she's not helping at all because she's so serious right now while still meeting my gaze.
"You're even more beautiful up close... What am I saying? You were always this beautiful." She said which made my cheeks hot so I looked down and took a step back to break our awkward position.
"I---I'm sorry. I---I w—was j...just trying to calm you." She said.
"It's okay. I should thank you because you have stopped me from crying. You didn't think of bringing me into some hospital because I might just losing my mind." I replied to her and chuckled, trying to make the atmosphere light again.
"Honestly... I thought for a second." She said and she earned a glare from me.
"I was just kidding, please don't kill me." She hurriedly defended herself as she wave her hands on the air.
"I'm sorry to ask... but what's your name? Sorry, I didn't have the time to look at your profile."
"Yoona. Im Yoona." She said and smiled.
"Ms. Im nice meeting you."
"Nice meeting you too Ms. Hwang. You can just call me Yoona, I hate too much formalities." She said and chuckled.
"By the way... Yoona, how did you know my Korean name?"
"I just looked thoroughly on your profile and some other things. Too much question you have there, Ms. Hwang."
"Tiffany please, just call me Tiffany. I thought you hated formalities?"
"I do but I don't want to call you Tiffany." Yoona said and just shrugged as she walk closely to me again.
"What do you want then?" I asked.
"Mi Young. I want to call you Mi Young." She answered and I can tell that she's serious because of the look she's giving me right now.
"Why would you want that?"
"I just want to. Can't I?" She curiously asked while not breaking the staring contest we were having.
"It's just that... No one called me that name for a very long time." I said.
"Well then... Can I be an exception?"
