Trouble

Yoona's POV

I'm with Sica and we are on our way to Yuri's house. We're going to confirm something and I'm very afraid of the truth that is about to be revealed.

"I never liked uncle Benjamin but I never thought he could go as far as that." Jessica said while still focused on the road because she was the one driving.

"Well, he did and I'm going to put him on the jail. It's just that he's using Mi Young against me so I couldn't lay my hands on him. He threatened me to go away from him or else she'll kill the girl I love and I am very much aware that he could do that." I explained.

"We're here." Jessica spoke. "Calm down first, Yoona. We're about to find out some facts." She continued and parked her car outside Yuri's house. We went out of the car and I rang the doorbell. A maid opened the door and greeted us. Without hesitation, she let us in. They already know who am I since I am Yuri's best friend for years.

"Ms. Kwon is in her room." The maid said and I nodded as a sign of my gratitude. We immediately go to her room with me leading the way because basically I know this house more than Jessica does. I knocked for a few times and it didn't take too long for the door to open.

"Yoong!" Yuri said as she hugged me tight. "Oh, Sica's here too." She said after seeing I'm with someone and winked at Sica. Weird. Is something going on between these two?

"Yul, I need to ask you some questions."

"Woah, looks like it's serious but may I ask why Tiffany isn't with you?" Yuri asked confusedly and I just sighed.

"Well, the questions I have has something to do with that so can you answer me first?" I answered. Yuri just nodded so I proceeded to my first question.

"Is your father here?"

"Nope, you know how busy he is. He rarely goes home and this time isn't included to those rare times."

"Do you remember the medicine he was working on? The one that you could forget a certain person once you drink it?"

"Oh that? Yes, but as I remember, it isn't finished yet. You know that I was only joking about that right?"

The both of us continued talking with Jessica listening. She looked like she was weighing things whenever she hears answers from Yuri. She was analyzing things until she spoke "Do you know where your father is?"

"Right now, I guess he's in the lab." Yuri answered.

"I think we have to go there." Jessica suggested.

"Can anyone tell me what's going on? Because I am so confused right now." Yuri kept asking us why we're suddenly interested about her father—his medicine to be exact, because it confuses her so much not knowing anything that's happening around her. We're now in the car and we are on our way to Mr. Kwon's laboratory.

"You'll know soon, just drive and be quiet." Jessica said and Yuri smiled. "As you say so, Ice Princess."

"So... is something going on with the two of you?" I asked bluntly but no one answered. Yuri pretended not to hear me and Jessica just looked down.

"Thank you so mu---"

"Okay! We're here!" Yuri shouted before I could speak again. It was too obvious that she wanted to interrupt so I couldn't finish my sentence. The three of us went inside of his dad's laboratory. It looks like the laboratories I see on television. It was full of test tubes and other chemicals I don't have knowledge of.

"Hi Dad! I brought some people that would like to ask some questions to you." Yuri casually said and her dad take a look at us.

"Oh, Yoona! And you brought another beautiful being with you whose name is?"

"Jessica."

"I see, so what have I done to have such beautiful ladies looking for me?" Mr. Kwon asked. He was comfortable so I guess the interrogation would go well and fast.

"I wanted to know about such medicine you were working. The one that involves forgetting a person."

"O...ohh t---that? Hehe w—what ab... about that?" I noticed how he went from comfortable to uneasy real quick. He must be hiding something.

"So far, how many patients are taking that medicine?" I asked again.

"N--no one. Th---that med... medicine isn't released to the p---public yet." He answered. I exchanged looks with Yuri and Jessica and it looked like they were thinking the same.

"Dad, if you know something please tell us. I, myself, don't have any idea what's going on but having Yoona went all the way here then it means it's something important." Yuri spoke, convincing his dad.

He sighed, "Please help me, he's threatening me. He threatened me not to tell anyone or he'll hurt my family. He forced me to give him those medicine although it isn't perfect yet and would probably have side effects to the person who will consume it. The person could forget but the side effects are seriously bad. I don't know why he's desperate to get that but I just wanted to protect my family."

My heart throbbed so fast after hearing his confession, with shaking voice, I asked "What's his name?"

"Benjamin. Benjamin Hwang."

Tiffany's POV

I decided to just go home after hearing things. I was on my way back into Yoona's room in the hospital but I heard something I shouldn't.

How could that even be? Is it true? If it is, then why would she hide those kind of things from me. If anyone has the right to know it, it is none other than me. That's my mother we're talking about. And I thought all mothers are loving? How can she just leave me like that?

My head is hurting and I keep seeing moments. Scattered moments where I am with Yoona in the... bathroom? I couldn't even remember anything like this that happened. Why am I seeing this in my mind? And Yoona with... purple eyes?

"Where were you?" My scattered thoughts went away after I heard my father spoke.

"I asked you where were you? You should answer me! You're not in your company the last week and your secretary said that you were meeting a certain client." He said in an irritable voice.

"You knew already, why ask?" I said and it made him more irritated 'caused he raised his voice as he asked "Were you really with a client?"

"I was." I lied. Well, I was with the love of my life to be honest.

"Make sure you were because if it isn't the truth and you were just flirting with a girl named Yoona, I'll punish you."

"Yo... you k—knew Y---yoona?" I asked and he looked taken a back. It looks like he just said an information he shouldn't.

"Stop asking or else you'll die."
