The Nerd and The Bad Boy

    It's been 10 years since that dreadful day. Shadow awoke from his slumber as the sun shined through the creases of his window. Birds chirped happily as the flew around the sky, waking up to a beautiful morning. Shadow then sat up slowly and yawned widely, stretching his arms up and out. He blinked a few and looked around. He glanced at the clock. " Oh yeah, today is the first day of school," he said as a sigh released from his mouth. He pulled the covers off of him and swung his leg over the edge. Then stood up slowly and went to his closet, opening the door slowly and grabs his uniform. He then closes the door and hands the clothes on a hook next to the bathroom door. Walking into the bathroom, he stared at himself in the mirror. He giggled a bit as he noticed hi quills all over the place. "Hehe, I look like a fuzzy puppy!" Shadow said as he went towards the shower and went behind the curtain a bit, switching on the water to warm water. When it was warm enough, he stepped inside and sighed I happiness.

    After a spending about 10 minutes in the shower, he dried off, brushed his quills, washed his face, and brushed his teeth. He then walked out of the bathroom and grabbed his uniform shirt off the hanger. "Shadow, come down for breakfast!" a voice yelled from downstairs. Shadow buttoned up his shirt as he yelled back. "Ok! Be down in a minute!" He grabbed his blue bottoms and slipped them on and tucked his shirt into them. He grabbed a belt and slid it through the holes on his pants, then put on his socks and shoes, then grabbed his backpack. He made up his bed quickly, then walked out of his room and downstairs. He went to the table and sat down. "Good Morning Mom and Dad~," he said. Mr. Dark looked at Shadow and smiled. "Good Morning Shadow~" he replied. Mrs. Dark walked towards Shadow, placing his breakfast in front of him and kissing his forehead gently. Shadow smiled and giggled.

"Thanks, mom!" he said.

"You're welcome, sweetie! Are you ready for your first day of school?" she asked.

    Shadow nodded as he ate his breakfast. His mom chuckled as she stood up and walked back to the stove. "Make sure you make a lot of friends!" she said. Shadow nodded once more as he finished his breakfast quickly. "Thank you for the food mom! I gotta go! Bye!" Shadow said as he got up after grabbing his stuff and ran to the front door. "Ok! Bye, sweetie! We love you!" she waved. Shadow turned and looked back at his mom and dad. "I love you too! Bye bye!" Shadow waved back and opened the door, walking out and closing the door behind him. Shadow then ran to his bike and jumped on, speeding off quickly to school. He smiled happily.

He couldn't wait to learn!
