The Nerd and The Bad Boy

    Sonic and Shadow walked together to their next class. People kept looking and whispering about them. Shadow closed his eyes and held onto Sonic's arm tightly. Sonic looked down at him and smiled. "Aww, don't listen to them Shadow... I'm here with you now~ They just going to have to get used to it!" Sonic said as he rubbed Shadow's back gently. Shadow looked up at Sonic and smiled. "I guess so..." he replied. Once they made it to their next class, many students were sitting in their chairs and gossiping like usual. Shadow walked into the classroom first and went to his seat, sitting down. Sonic, who took his seat next to Shadow, smiled at him. Shadow looked back at Sonic and blushed. When Sonic was about to say something, a girl, named Amy, walked up to him and sat on his desk. "Hey, Sonic! How's my babe doing today?" she asked, batting her eyes down at him. Sonic groaned in disgust but smiled none of the less. Shadow looked at Amy, who had her back to him. Amelia Rose, who is the most popular girl in school and also dated over a million guys. 

    "So Sonic, I heard rumors that you started hanging around this..." She turned and looked at Shadow. "kid... Why is that? Who is he anyway?" she said.

    Shadow looked up at Amy, then at Sonic, who looked back at him. Sonic smiled warmly at Shadow. "This is Shadow; my boyfriend..." Sonic said. Shadow and Amy's eyes widened in shock. "Your boyfriend?! Amy shouted. Everyone in class grew silent as they all turned and looked at the three in the room. Shadow looked at Sonic in shock, then at Amy in fear. Amy stood up and stared at Sonic in disbelief. "How can that low-class peasant be your boyfriend?! I should be the one to be your girlfriend!" Amy said. People began to whisper all around the room. Sonic stood up as he slammed his hands down on the desk in anger, making Shadow jump next to him and look at him. "Don't you dare call Shadow a low-class peasant! He's just as important as the rest of you in this damn school!" Sonic shouted back angrily.

    Shadow looked at Sonic in shock and blushed red. Amy frowned angrily as she balled up her fists. "But that's what he is! Nothing but a low-class freak!" Amy shouted back. Sonic's eyes widened as he raised his hand. Amy gasped and closed her eyes tightly, thinking Sonic is going to hit her. Shadow quickly stood up and grabbed Sonic's hand before it can land a hit on Amy. "Sonic don't!" he said. Everyone in class gasped and started at Sonic and Shadow. Amy looked up and stared at Shadow in shock. Sonic looked towards Shadow and growled. "Let me go!"Sonic shouted as he struggled to get his hand out of Shadow's grip. "I will not! It's no use! Don't do this!" Shadow replied as he held onto Sonic tighter. Sonic's face softened as he let his fist down. He then grabbed Shadow into a hug and turned to Amy. Shadow gasped as he landed in Sonic's chest. "Amy, I'm sorry, but I love Shadow... So please don't call him anything you like..."

    Amy chuckled nervously. "U-Um sure! hehehe...." she said. 'I have to figure out a way to break these two up...' she thought in her head. Sonic sighed and looked at Shadow. "Let's skip..." Sonic said as he grabbed his and Shadow's things. "Eh! Wait!" Shadow said but was cut off when Sonic picked him up bridal style into his arms. Amy watched them. "Hey, where are you going? The class is about to start!" Amy said. Sonic turned to her. "Shadow and I are going away for a while..." he said as he walked out of the classroom. As soon as they left, everyone in the class started gossiping and whispering about what happened. Amy just stood there in shock.

"What just happened?"

    With Sonic, he was carrying Shadow up to the school roof. Shadow blushed red as he held onto Sonic. "W-Where are we going?" he asked. Sonic didn't say a word as he walked up the stairs to the roof and out the door. Shadow closed his eyes tightly as the sunlight shined into his eyes. Sonic put Shadow down and looked down at him. Shadow turned to look at Sonic but was instantly grabbed into a hug. "Eh?!" Shadow shouted a bit. Sonic continued to hold him close as he buried his head into Shadow's shoulder. "W-What wrong Sonic?" Shadow asked. "Don't talk..." Sonic whispered softly. That made Shadow instantly shut up as he looked at Sonic. The bell rang loudly, signaling that class has started. "U-Um... We should head back to class..." Shadow said. Sonic didn't listen and hugged Shadow closer. "Shadow..." Sonic whispered. Shadow looked at Sonic. "Yes? What's wrong Sonic?" Shadow replied. Sonic pulled away and turned Shadow around to face him.  Shadow looked up at Sonic and blushed red. "Shadow, I'm sorry I acted out like that in the classroom... I just couldn't stand the fact that Amy was talking shit about you...." Sonic said as he looked down. 

    Shadow frowned a bit as he stepped towards Sonic and raised his hand to cup his cheek gently; making him look at him. "Sonic, I don't care if Amy or other people talk about me. All I care about is you. So as long as I'm with you it doesn't matter if someone calls me names. It's ok..." Shadow smiled gently. Sonic's eyes widened as he blushed red. He then hugged Shadow close pressed his lips to his, bringing him into a soft, but passionate kiss. Shadow blushed as his eyes widened. He then closed his eyes and kissed Sonic back, wrapping his arms around Sonic's neck. Sonic then licked Shadow's lips, asking for entry. Shadow moaned a bit and opened his mouth a bit, allowing Sonic access. For a while, they made out during class hours on the roof. And it was the best few hours of Sonic and Shadow's life.

What could go wrong?

    From the creek to the roof door stood a dark and sinister creature, who smirked evilly at the two hedgehogs.

"Oh Sonic, you will be mine...and mine alone...." it whispered as it disappeared.
