Warriors- Flood Water

Chapter Five

Berryheart dashed over to his den and grabbed a big mouthful of multiple different herbs. "What happened? What's wrong with Snowdew?!" A light gray she cat dashed over, her big blue eyes filled with worry. "Ashstream, Snowdew's hurt very badly." Berryheart came up behind her. "We have to go help, okay? Stay here."Berryheart picked up his herbs and followed Rockpaw as she dashed out of camp. Rockpaw turned her head to see Ashstream standing there, in disbelief and sadness. Rockpaw led the way as Berryheart followed. It began to rain slightly as they approached the cats. Tendrilfur and Doveclaw had made a makeshift nest around her, to try and keep her comfortable. Berryheart quickly began to put all sort of herbs together and worked on keeping the white she cat alive. Rockpaw felt stiff, the rain plastering her fur to her sides as Snowdew barely hung onto life. Rockpaw thought about Ashstream again, how sad and scared she looked, knowing she might never see her kit again. Doveclaw clawed the ground impatiently as Berryheart stood back up, Snowdew's wound was patched up with leaves and cobwebs. "I can't do anything else until the bleeding stops, let's get her back to camp as soon as possible." Rockpaw leaned against her shoulder as Berryheart took the other side, watching her wound closely. Doveclaw helped keep her moving from the back as Tendrilfur cleared the ground as they walked. The moment they entered camp, Ashstream was already on them, "Is she okay?! Will she be alright?! Are you okay, Doveclaw? What happened? Who did this? Did they-" Ashstream stopped mid sentence as Berryheart snapped at her, "She'll be fine, she needs to rest and not move though." They put her down gently in the medicine cat den. Berryheart put some herbs into the cobwebs and patched everything back up again. "She needs to rest, let me check you guys too," Tendrilfur took a step back, "We're fine." Berryheart walked in a circle around Tendrilfur, "Yeah sure you are," Berryheart pushed his paw onto Tendrilfur's flank, he grunted and took a step back, Berryheart held his paw out, it had Tendrilfur's blood on it. "I barely even touched it, c'mon, lay down over there, I'll get something to you in a second. Oh and groom that pesky fur out of the way." Tendrilfur reluctantly did so, laying down in the far corner and groomed his flank as Berryheart examined Doveclaw. "Here," Berryheart reached into a stack of herbs, "Just chew these up and rub them on your leg." Rockpaw looked down at Doveclaw's front leg, a small gash with dried up blood sat on his thin gray fur. Berryheart padded over to Rockpaw, "Lets see, we can just put some cobwebs on that, nothing more really." Rockpaw looked confused, "I don't remember getting hit." She turned around to try and see what the wound was. "It's just a small scratch on your shoulder, it'll heal by tomorrow no worries." Rockpaw sat patiently as Berryheart applied the cobwebs to her shoulder. "Off you go now, you two will be fine." Berryheart pushed Doveclaw and Rockpaw out, "What about Ratnose?" Doveclaw asked curiously. "I'll get him later don't worry, you to go eat something and rest." Doveclaw nodded, picked up the leaves Berryheart gave him and padded off to the Warriors den, followed by his mother Ashstream, who was full of questions. Rockpaw stretched and headed towards the apprentices den. She curled up in her nest and fell right to sleep.
