Rockpaw woke to a paw poke in the ribs, "Ah what the?" Toadpaw was sitting next to her, he was bouncing up and down with excitement, Rockpaw turned around as Tanglepaw stood up and stretched. She sat down next to her brother. "Tell us everything that happened!" Rockpaw blinked and just looked at them before she began. "Well, Ratnose pounced on Salmonfur and they fought, then Nightclaw attacked poor Snowdew. Uh, then two apprentices attacked Doveclaw and Tendrilfur as they tried to help Snowdew." Toadpaw shifted in his seat and looked back up, "What about you?" Rockpaw sighed, "Well, the warrior that I fought didn't want a fight and she was trying to get away, but I still did my very best." Toadpaw and Tanglepaw leaned in closer, "What else happened?" Rockpaw stretched her paws out. "Well, I saw that Snowdew was still struggling under Nightclaw so I attacked him. I managed to hold onto his head and well," Rockpaw stopped as she remembered the foul taste of his blood in her mouth, "Well, what happened?" Toadpaw's eyes were wide, so we're Tanglepaw's. "I-I ripped his whole ear off." Rockpaw said quietly. Toadpaw shot up and nuzzled his sister, Rockpaw gave a small chuckle, "You're so brave! I can't believe you did that!" Meowed Toadpaw, "Oh I wish I was there! I would have teached those cats a lesson!" Tanglepaw got down into a crouch and pounced on her brother. Toadpaw got up from under her and held her down, Rockpaw butted him over and held them both down. The den filled with laughter as the three littermates play fought. The three apprentices laughed at each other as moss and pine straw clung to their messy pelts. "C'mon, let's get something to eat real quick. They raced out of the den but quickly shot backwards, straight back inside. The rain had picked up, the sky was black as the rain beat hard on the ground. Ratnose was outside, holding a large vole and a mouse. He turned toward them and rushed over, her dropped the soaking prey inside the apprentices den, a long wrap of herbs and cobwebs plastered his side. Other bits of his body had sticky leaves and poultices on him. "Don't come out. Share this and go straight to sleep. Oh and stay in the back of the den." Ratnose ordered as he ran off into the warriors den. "I guess it's raining pretty hard if Ratnose is running to safety." Tanglepaw meowed. Toadpaw stuck his nose out of the den only to fall backwards in. He placed his paws over his nose. "It's like being stabbed with a thorn. Rockpaw lifted her paw up and stuck it out. The feeling of icy cold thorns hit her hard. She pulled it back in and licked her paw. "Dear Starclan, what kind of rain is this?" Tanglepaw didn't even bother to feel outside, she picked up the vole and mouse and sat down in the back of the den, "You two can share, I don't like vole." Tanglepaw bit into the mouse, Toadpaw bit into the vole, Rockpaw sat beside him and took a bite as well. After they finished their meal, the three apprentices curled up ready for sleep. Rockpaw had always slept curled up with her littermates. She was used to having them with her, keeping her warm. Both Toadpaw and Tanglepaw had pretty thick fur, while Rockpaw's fur was thin and sleek. Toadpaws black tabby pelt rose and fell as he sleeped and Tanglepaws bracken and brown fur was fluffed up against her. Rockpaw just couldn't fall asleep, the pounding rain on the top of the hollow log that formed the den kept her from sleep. Her bright vibrant orange eyes could be seen from halfway across camp, like a burning fire. After sometime of watching the rain fall and the warm feel of her siblings pelts, Rockpaw finally found herself curled up, dreaming.
