Chapter 7

Celeste

I woke before the sun rose and stretched my stiff limbs. The bite wound on my arm looked much better today, it was still tender, though. I made my way to the bathroom and after a quick shower, I braided my hair and threw on some jean shorts, a tank top, and my sneakers before jogging downstairs. It looked like everyone was asleep, so I went for a run, I needed blood. After an hour of hunting, I shifted back into my human form and jogged back to the pack house.

I saw them men come out of the back of the pack house. "Hey, there! Want to watch how real men train?" Cam called out to me as I jogged up to him. I flashed him a wicked grin, "If you find one, then yes." He snorted at me, "Baby, I am all man." I chuckled at his flirting, knowing that he was gay and mated, made it funnier. I joined them for their run around the territory and when we finished, it was time to spar. "Hero, you are with me. I can't have one of my warriors hurting you." Mason called out to me. I rolled my eyes.

We squared up in the ring, my eyes focused on Mason and my surroundings, just as Father had taught me. "OK, no shifting until I say." Cam called out and Mason and I nodded, never taking our eyes off of each other. I was not about to be overly cocky, he was an Alpha, older and stronger than I was. After a moment, he charged me, stepped out of the way easily. He growled at me and charged again, this time, I stood my ground and used his own momentum against him, flipping him to the ground and landing a hit to the jaw.

We went blow for blow, him landing a few, but I landed more. Finally, Cam yelled out, "SHIFT" My wolf tore forward and we were on the Alpha like white on rice. It wasn't long before I had his neck in my teeth. He submitted and shifted back. I stepped back and shifted as well. I looked at his face, expecting anger, but he was grinning. "I thought I was going to have to take it easy on you, but damn, you are good. Well, done, Celeste." I smiled and he went to hug me but I stepped back, his brows furrowed, but I pointed to his nakedness, "I don't think your mate would like you hugging and unmated female while you were in the nude."

He laughed as Cam tossed him a pair of short and after his junk was hidden, I hugged him. Then I heard a deep and loud growl. I spun and saw a massive black wolf with burning hazel eyes looking at me. Mason shoved me behind him and snarled at the wolf, "What are you doing on my land, growling at me, Ekon?" I stepped out from behind Mason, "I do not cower." I told him in a low voice. I turned at looked at the impressive wolf, "State your purpose and for the love of Nyx, if you shift back, put on clothes." The men surrounding us chuckled and the massive wolf shifted into a massive man.

HOLY SHIT BALLS! He was gorgeous, dark blonde hair, just long enough to run my fingers through, beautiful hazel eyes, tall, I mean like Goliath tall, rippling muscles that covered his entire body,- "I'm glad you approve, Mate." he smirked at me. "I said that all out loud, didn't I?" I squeaked and Cam popped up next to me, "Yep." I felt my cheeks burn and then it hit me, "Mate?" Ekon nodded, "Yes, I smelled you earlier and followed your scent here." I cocked an eyebrow, "I don't know if I should be flattered or grossed out. Are you saying that I stink?" He moved closer to me, "No, you actually smell amazing."

I looked at Mason and he nodded and looked back to Ekon, the sex god. Luke came tearing out of the pack house, a group of women on his heels. He stopped next to me and looked back and forth between Ekon and me, his eyes widened, "No way." Ekon and the two men he came with, dropped to one knee, "My King." Luke nodded, "You may rise, Alpha Ekon." My world spun and the ground rose to meet me. I heard shouts as everything when black.

I woke to hear voices surrounding me, "Well, I mean, you are quite terrifying." Another male answered, "I didn't make her pass out." The first voice, "Well, many females swoon at the presence of their king." A sigh, "She has been around me before, it wasn't me, it was you." Luke! I opened my eyes to see Luke, Ekon, Mason, Cam and a man I didn't know all standing around, arguing. I sat up, "Luke is right, it wasn't him. I was a bit overwhelmed. It's the whole, 'I have a mate' thing. Sorry." I shrugged. Their heads all whipped around and suddenly, I was surrounded my hens. "Are you ok? Does anything hurt? Can I get you anything?"

I chuckled, "I'm fine, but thank you. I think I need to speak to my mate and Luke for a moment." Cam and Mason nodded, grabbing the other man by his arm and dragging him out the door. I turned to Ekon and he smiled, Dear Nyx, he has dimples, two of them. I am going to die.
