NOT EDITED
"Rice," I spoke slowly.
Harmony stared at me weirdly and made her lips form into a weird shape, "Wice!"
I smiled at her, "Not 'wice', rice." I wrote the word out and put it at arms length from her, "Try to pronounce every letter." She tried again and again. Soon she got irritated and put her head on the table. Sulking, I laughed at her adorable gesture. Harmony has been doing great. Her literature area has increased and her common skills has as well. I watched as she began to trace the word with her fingertip.
Soon one of the maids came in with a tray of snacks. Setting it on the table, she left without saying a word. I felt as if the servants feared me. I was curious as to why, I mean I did nothing! Harmony grabbed a cookie and sat back down, "They're always like that. They rush away once they do what they have to. I wish they would stay and talk."
Harmony may be young, but she's incredibly intelligent. They way she reads into the problems around her quickly and how she makes her own opinions, I'm always impressed with her capabilities.
"What are their names?" I took a cookie as well.
"I don't know them. They don't talk, so I don't really know. I only know Mrs. Mason," she fiddled with her fingers and cookie.
I felt sympathy for her. I reached out and cupped her cheek, "What's wrong Harm?"
She started to tear up, "My daddy is always busy and I don't know where mommy is." I felt the pain running through me. I remembered when my dad died and my mom was always working. Narh would be out with friends, so I was alone.
I pulled her into an embrace and kissed her head, "Your daddy wants to be with you, he's just busy." I rubbed her head and kissed her once more.
"I wish daddy was around," she sobbed out, "I want my mommy!" I felt horrible as I watched her cry and sob. No child deserves this, the feeling of being alone. As she sniffled and cried, she asked, "Will you stay?"
"I sure will," little did I know how accurate those words were.

"Hello?" I held my phone between my ear and shoulder as I scrubbed the kitchen floor. I was tired of how sticky it was and my mom has been busy and I know Narh won't do it.
"I'm deeply sorry for this, but Harmony has been whiny for you to come over. I have a business dinner and she refuses to attend unless you come. Please come to the business dinner," his voice was husky but laced with stress. I wanted to refuse, knowing Marcus wouldn't feel comfortable with me attending
I sighed, knowing he really just needed her to go for Harmony, she answered, "Okay, what time?"
"Thank you, I'll have my driver stop by in a couple of minutes. I have everything you need to attend. Thank you once again," soon the line went dead. I sighed, getting up and putting hte stuff away.
Just like her said, the doorbell rung and there was his driver. I jumped in. It took us about the matter of twenty minutes, the gates opened up once again, all nice and grand. I felt a lump form in my throat the minute I saw him. His suit looked amazing on him. His dark gray jacket made him seem mysterious but handsome. His white dress shirt didn't hide the muscle under that shirt. I had to really control my focus my attention to stop looking at him.
The door opened and there he was, talking on the phone, sounding a bit angry, "Did I ever fucking say to close that deal? No, now if that deal is in the ruins I will kick your ass. Now get it done and send it to my PA. I have business to get to, get it done." He hung up and sent me a wary smile, "Thank you once again for doing this."
