"Remind me again why the park is suddenly inadequate?" I asked looking skeptically at the place Luke drove us to.

"What do you mean? This place is just as good as the park! Plus it's got atmosphere!" He said gesturing to the place in front of us.

"That's weird Luke. I always took you as an uptown person." Marren said patting him on the back and striding towards the sidewalk. "But then again, I'm not one to judge on weirdness!"

I followed behind Marren as Luke spoke to me from the side.

"In case you were wondering, I picked downtown because there are more opportunities for us to test our methods." He explained.

"You mean test my methods." I corrected.

"Oh come on! We are on the same team. Therefore, your methods are my methods."

"I feel like that is method plagiarism."

"Stop thinking of it like that. The game is not you against me. It's us against the rest of the world. We are in this together." His words were sweet in meaning but said like a small boy playing Nintendo with a friend.

"I don't know what game you are talking about but we are talking about my personal life hacks here."

"Well I don't know if you noticed, but they aren't quite personal anymore." He tapped my nose and laughed winking in my direction which must have been the last straw for me putting up with his strange flirting.

"And also! You need to stop doing whatever kind of flirty thing you are doing on me. One, if flirting is what you are trying to do, it's not working. Two, it's plain creepy. Three, you should know better. And four, I'm not worth it anyways. So don't waste your time." I purposefully flicked my hair in his face standing with my back in front of him. "Now. If I am going to continue helping you even though I think this entire endeavor is stupid and a waste of my precious time, we need to get to it. We- you have a lot of work to do. And the way you have been acting towards me will not help is progress in anyway." The pride I felt from sounding so sophisticated made me all giddy inside.

Now I'm just hoping it works on him. The sooner he knows I mean business, the sooner I can be done with all of this. No games, no weird winking, and definitely no relationships.

"Why so posh Pey? If we are going to help each other then we are going to have fun with it. Don't make this like an extension to school." He seemed to blow my business attitude right off as he slung his arm around my shoulders and guided us down the street.

"Yeah Pey. You might as well have fun with it. I know you enjoy it anyway. So don't try and hide it." Marren chimed in after eavesdropping on out conversation.

"Marren!" I scolded.

"Fine fine! I'm not here! Oooh look at me! Over in that sandwich shop! Definitely not right in front of you listening to your conversations while simultaneously planning your future! Ooooh!" She exclaimed wiggling her arms and walking backwards into a sandwich shop.

"I normally try not to judge people based on their friends, but she is making that very hard for me." Luke whispered in my ear.

I sighed knowing exactly what he meant. "Why do you think she's my only friend?" I laughed a bit thinking of all the times people approached me before wanting to be friends.
