Silver's POV~
"Wow!" Lyra squeaked as we exited the cave.
"This is amazing!" Twave awed.
I even had to admire it myself. It was much more impressive in real life than in pictures or on television. The gigantic building was a blinding gold, lined with bushes cut in the shape of pokemon. The only ones that I could make out were Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Celebi, and Mew. The rest might've been from a different region. Gold tried to use his Pokedex on them, but that only resulted in a slap on the head from Hazel.
If possible, the inside was even more stunning. The walls and floors had marble plastered on it, corridors stretching in every direction. A golden Milotic fountain stood in the middle of the main room, poised beautifully. Statues of various pokemon spread across the building for what seems like eternity.
"Twave and I aren't allowed to go in with you guys, so we'll just browse around," Hazel said. "Good luck to all of you."
She embraced Lyra first, giving her encouraging words. Then, Gold. She whispered something in his ear that I couldn't hear, and he laughed, releasing her. She gave Ray a quick hug, wishing him luck. And then there was one.
"I believe in you," She took me in, but released me just as quick. "And, have fun for once in your life, 'kay?"
The two girls strolled down the corridor as we all stared after them.
"They're gonna get lost," I stated.
"Yep," Ray agreed, and we all headed to Nurse Joy. Conveniently, there was a Pokemon Center and a PokeMart right before the stairs that led to the Elite Four.
While Nurse Joy was healing our pokemon, we all stocked up on Potions, Revives, and Ethers. All the medicines were extremely overpriced, but we came unprepared.
We all climbed up the marble stairs one by one. We passed a young couple and an older man with an Abra looking somewhat glum. But that didn't matter right now. What matters is I challenge the Pokemon League. And win.
"You ready for this?" Lyra gulped.
"Ready as I'll ever be!" Gold cheered, quickly pulling out his badge case to show the man before a wide door.
The man studied each of our badges carefully, feeling and examining them. It took him a good five minutes to confirm all of Gold's were real.
"Go ahead," he granted, pushing open the large door.
"See you guys at the end, right?" The perky trainer waved as the doors slid closed.
"You'll have to wait until the first battle is finished before entering," the man informed us, taking Ray's badge case.
And waiting is what we did. For thirty freaking minutes. How does a battle even take that long?
Finally, the man let Ray enter- the battle had ended. Ray's battle didn't take as long as Gold's. Only around fifteen minutes. Naomi went in after Ray, and, being the gentlemen I am, I allowed Lyra to go before me.
"Good luck, Silver," were Lyra's last words before the doors shut her out.
"Good luck," I repeated to the wooden frame.
Time flew before it was my turn to go up against battling masters. All of them were highly trained, skilled, and tough to beat.
I was ready, though. Ready to take the challenge head on. I'd been through too much to lose now.
I slowly, but steadily, made my way into the room. The intense heat was almost too much to handle. Lava flowed freely from each sides of the stadium, with a disappointed leader in the middle.
