"The death of Lucy Andrews still an unresolved mystery"

Levi read the headlines of the newspaper as he came in with the milk. Dad cooked his special blueberry pancakes for us. I was sitting on the kitchen table eating strawberry's from Dad's bowl, which he did not like at all.

"Who is she? Lucy Andrews?"

"Uh..She was murdered two years back." Levi took a seat at the dinning table with Dad. Both staring at me expecting me to join them.

"What?" I chuckled.

"We are having a family breakfast and it includes sitting together on the table, young lady." Ok now I know that my Dad is serious, so I hop down and seat myself beside Levi.

"So what about this Lucy girl?"

"She went to the same college as your brother but was murdered at the night of the dance." My dad was eating his pancake like that girl being killed was not a big deal. But that's how the society is, no one cares unless its about their own family.

"I'm so sorry about her. Was she your friend Levi?" I looked at him for an answer, but it made him uncomfortable.

"No..Not a friend. Just heard that she was not too innocent either." What was that supposed to mean? I could tell he was hiding something, my question made him uncomfortable and now he won't look me in the eyes. Maybe I'm just being too paranoid,or maybe not.

"The police has no leads on the case. Everyone knows she was murdered but not even her parents are ready to accept it, they say it was an accident." Dad said.

"Can't believe that murderer is still out in the open." I said as I looked at my half empty plate. At that moment I was only wondering how her parents would have felt about it. And how my Dad would feel if something like that happened to me. She was two years older than me as she was Levi's age and probably she was just my age when she died, Or, when she was Killed by an anonymous being who maybe was still here in San Marina, wandering freely.

"You don't have to worry about it Vee, no one does." Levi said as he stood up and walked towards his room. That was weird, he is not lying about anything here but he sure is hiding something. But I decided not to stress it, He'll tell me if its important.

We finished our breakfast and Dad left for work after giving me and Levi a kiss on the forehead. It was weird in case of Levi because he was taller than dad now so he had to bend a little. It was me and Levi at home now and It was a perfect time to catch up with each other.

"Can I come in?" I asked Levi, standing the open door of his room. It was a lot different now, no more Star Wars posters, no more Kung Fu panda toys or Zombie movie posters. Just plain, blue wall. Honestly, It was way better than it used to look except his clothes. They were still lying all around the room, It was a complete mess.

"Yes you can." He was sitting on his chair beside the study table looking for something on the computer.

I walked in and took a good look at his room again then started folding his clothes and putting them into their place.

"So what happened to that boyfriend of yours." Levi asked me as if he was teasing me, he knows love and relationship is a really sensitive topic for me but he won't just give up any chance of annoying me.

"We broke up." I said with a sigh. He turned his chair around and was facing me now.

"And I thought you said 'Oh this is forever' when I checked last time."

Yes I did think that a relationship of Nova Markey would last forever, until my 6 month boyfriend Zack left me for a spoiled rich girl. I was highly demotivated but I'm happy that I had Kelly at least.
