"So where exactly are we gonna go?" I asked as I poured myself some coffee.

"Surprise." He smirked and sipped on his own coffee. I sighed but decided I wouldn't pry.

Within an hour, we're both dressed and in the car again, in the streets of Huntington, with Brian driving and me in the passenger seat. It only took about 10 minutes until he pulled up at the side of the road and we both got out. I started to walk down the street but he quickly stopped me, slipping some shades over his eyes.

"It's a surprise remember. It's on this street but so shut your eyes." He told me quietly.

"What if I walk into something?" I laughed, turning to face him.

"Don't worry, I'll guide you." He smiled. I was reluctant at first but then he raised his eyebrows as if to say 'we're not moving until you shut your eyes'. So I sighed and did as I was told, shutting them tight. It made me jump slightly as I felt him put a pair of shades on me, obviously to hide the fact that I had my eyes tight shut. I felt his one arm then around my waist and him right beside me. "Walk." He whispered to me and I did as he said as started to walk in as straight as a line I could, with his arm still around my waist, slightly guiding me each occasionally.

It was literally just a minute walk down the street like he'd said before he stopped and turned me to face another direction. His hands found their way to resting on my hipbones from behind.

"Open your eyes." He told me over my shoulder and I did so. I took the sunglasses off my face and looked at the building I was now in front of. It had turned out to be some café, fashioned in a 1960's style. It was really, really pretty but I wondered why here of all places.

"Really? So what's so significant about here?" I giggled, turning around to face him.

"This is the first place you had a part time job at but you got fired because you broke in at night with the rest of us to hang and eat and drink..." He laughed slightly and shrugged.

"Gosh no! I can't come in here! What if someone recognises me or something?!" I asked frantically with my jaw hanging open.

"That's what the shades and the corner table are for." He smirked and then led me in before I could protest further. I quickly put the shades I still had in my hand back on. Brian led us to a small table in the far corner of the café, away from everyone. I mean it was good because there were not nearly as many people around but the problem was that the table was so small that when we sat down opposite each other, our legs were practically intertwined with nowhere else to go. I was tense at first, trying my hardest to not let my legs touch his but after a minute I figured he wouldn't care so gave up and let our legs just stay together.

Just as we'd got comfy, a waitress came over in a short pink dress that definitely revealed way too much and a small apron with a notebook.

"May I take your orders?" She smiled, clicking her heels together as she waited with her little notepad and pencil.

"Uh yeah I'll just have coffee and the English breakfast." Brian said, quickly turning away from her.

"Coffee and just the waffles please." I said timidly. The waitress then sped away, leaving us alone again. It was just then I remembered how I'd been meaning to ask about his birthday that he'd mentioned the other day.

"Hey, do you remember when you uh told me about your birthday?" I asked.

"Hm, it was on the Thursday but that was our last day of tour. We got back the Friday then went out on Saturday and that's when we found you." He explained, leaning back in his chair slightly. I felt instantly bad for that.

"God, I'm sorry for ruining your birthday." I mumbled and hung my head slightly.

"Hey don't be." He smiled, reaching over and raising my head again delicately. "Trust me, it wasn't ruined at all. Like I said, we found you."

I had no idea how to respond to him but laugh again as I felt my face go pink. That was quite sweet of him honestly. Just then, the waitress came back over with our breakfast.

"Here you are sir." She smiled, leaning over to gently put his coffee down so her cleavage was right on show to him. Surprisingly, I noticed him still looking at me though. She put mine down quickly then lightly leant on the back of his chair. "Just call if you need anything." She said to him quietly before strutting off with swaying hips.

"Looks like you've got yourself an admirer." I noticed, raising my eyebrows at him. He turned around to where I'd look to see the same waitress looking at him up and down, biting her lip slightly.

He chuckled slightly and shrugged. "Could just be a fan."

"Or just you know... A woman with eyes." I blurted nervously but immediately regretted saying it. Bad idea...

"What d'you mean?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows as if he was genuinely confused and started to cut into his breakfast. I held my face in my hands on the table, trying to hide the fact that I'd gone completely red in the face.

"I mean... uh... Well any woman must see you and think..." I paused, realising I hadn't planned out that sentence too well. So, I sort of just stopped and cut off a bit of waffle instead.

"And think what?..." He wondered as he slowly chewed a small piece of bacon.

I kept my head down to my plate just pushing my food around with my head resting on one hand. "Fucking hell he's gorgeous..." I said quickly, still refusing to look up. It was silent for a few moments before he started laughing himself, setting me up to finally look up at him. He was smiling but shaking his head slightly.

"Any woman you say?" He questioned, raising his eyebrows and looking me up and down and I knew what he was getting at but refused to let him know that I knew.

I shrugged and grabbed my coffee. "I wouldn't be surprised." I said before taking a quick sip.

It took us a while to realise how long we'd spent to eat our breakfast as we were talking so much. Even after we'd finished, the time never seemed to come where either of us thought about going home. It was nice. Just me and him, away from everyone, in our own little world. It was calming. It just felt natural, it felt right. Eventually, literally hours later, we did have to come to our senses though.

"God, we should probably get back, we've been here all morning. The guys are probably wondering where we've been." Brian frowned as he looked at his wrist watch. I sighed and nodded in agreement as we both out back on our shades and quickly left the café. On the way up, I hadn't even realised the beauty of the street, well of course as I had my eyes closed. But anyway, it was beautiful. There were trees and plants every so often on the sidewalk next to the road. There were lights hung from street lamp to street lamp all the way down and the actual sidewalk itself was light coloured and pristine, nothing like anywhere I'd been in Washington.

Back in the car, I remembered that I'd been wanted to ask Brian about Michelle. I know it was a touchy subject for him but I hadn't wanted to at breakfast in case it'd kill the light mood we were both in. But on the way back, it just felt like the right time.

"Brian, what are you going to do about Michelle?" I asked quietly. The neutral expression of his face quickly melted away and was replaced with a small frown.

He shrugged, pressing his lips together slightly. "Well she can't even know for certain yet if she is pregnant. I sure as hell can't know. I mean, I'm hoping and praying she's not but either way, I can't forgive her. I can't bring myself to even think of her without... without having all this angst and hatred... It's... awful I guess but, we'll get through it." He explained softly. I felt sort of bad for asking but on the other hand, it sounded like he needed to get that out and tell someone so I was glad he could talk to me.

"Is that why you were sad and mad?" I wondered, referring to that fist night he had slept next to me and it looked as if he'd been crying. He looked to me and gave a warm smile.

"Yeah, I guess so..."
