"Behave, boys. Dad will be back later to fetch yah. Okay?" I heard him telling his sons to behave since he need to leave those three at their Aunt's house. We are getting into Pennsylvania a bit early using his car anyway.
"Bye, Daddy!" I saw Timothy looked at me while i was on my seat in his car, then he smiled, waving his hand on me. I just responded a smile.
Then, i saw their Aunt get them from the doorway and Wentworth went to his seat, and started his car.
"I hope they wont create a mess with Julia." I heard him.
Pennsylvania is a bit far from New York, telling him the address made him curse in air.
"Its in the deepest part of the place." He uttered.
So we almost ride for 3 hours until we found the place of Jonathan's abandoned house.
"I wonder if there's someone living inside but it seems like the answer is no." He said when he is trying to push open the metal gate that is yet supported with strong cyclone wires beneath its walls.
I looked around to see the place was strongly quiet, causing me to feel creepy and everything.
"You're alright?" He touched my shoulder that made me look at him surprised.
"Yeah." I calmed down. Then i saw the gate was pushed open that calm me even more.
Upon stepping inside the green grassy path, someone's gun click for a second. Its from the back so we both automatically stopped.
"Who do you think you are entering this house's territory?" A voice of a young man was heard.
I turned around to see a young guy around my age holding a piece of 45-rifle with fierce look in the eyes.
"Easy, boy. We came from FBI for something." Wentworth show his badge that calmed the guy down.
"We are sorry for this, but the owner of this house is-"
"He's dead." The guy said back.
"He is not. We are helping him out of the jail once-""WHY YOU GUYS KEEP ON HELPING SOMEONE WHO DESERVES DEATH HUH?!" The guy shouted stepping nearer.
"Lets calm down. Put your gun down and we will help you understand everything." Wentworth went nearer into him and the gun was a bit close to his chest.
I breathed heavily.
"N-" The guy was about to step back when Wentworth hit the guy's wrist that fast causing him to drop the gun and kicked it in my direction. Then i saw him dragged the guy's hands on his back that easy while the guy was trying to escape. I pick the gun up and uncase the bullet passage out of it.
"Let me go!" He is trying to get away but its impossible.
"Go and open the door of the house, Acid." Wentworth said so i turn back to go as he commanded but I stopped when the guy called my name.
"Acid .. Acid Sacramento .. Is that your name?" He said.
I look back at him and basically Wentworth is also surprised.
"What do you know about me?" I asked him out.
"I have read a lot of things about you. There is a journalist from New York Times that is secretly writing about you and who you are." He said.
"What the hell?" I cussed.
"Tell us who is that writer." Wentworth came asking.
"His code was Rainfallseal. That's everything i know." The guy said.
Its creepy. Its creeping me out.
"Lets get going." I said like i dont believe what he told us. I dont want to bother myself from that thing. It might be danger so i need to go.
I opened the door gently and walked inside through the wooden dirty floor. Dusts were all over. Spider webs are seen everywhere like seeing yourself at a scary horror house. A pair of wooden chairs are partially damaged, particularly at its legs, and termite holes are spotted from some edges of the wooden wall.
I put the bullet passage of the gun back to its case and walked silently. I heard Wentworth coming, with the guy tied on his hands for safety.
He sat him on the floor and went near me while looking around.
"Basement." I uttered.
We looked around for any signs of basement door until the guy said, "The basement door is located into that way." And he lift his left foot, pointing into the left direction of the house. Wentworth walked gently into it and pushed away those things occupying its space. Until, he found it and opened it slowly.
"Tell me. How are you related to Jonathan Ingrid?" I asked at the guy.
But he just looked away.
I shook my head and followed Wentworth until the guy speak again, "Just be fast. My grandmother will arrive soon to check this house."
I stopped when i heard him but then, continued walking into the door as Wentworth supported my hand while going in.
Its not that dark inside but good thing, my phone have good flash light to make the view even lighter. Another room of dusts and full of web are in sight. There are blankets, cloths laid in a side of the floor, dirty brooms and scrubs, piece of shoes unused at a damaged shoe cabinet and a-
"There is the drawer." Wentworth catched my attention from looking around.
"Wait. There is something i saw over there." I pointed out something in the cabinet.
I walked into its direction and get the photo in a broken frame and wipe its dusty front.
"See. Its us." I smiled looking down at the old picture of me with my Dad and my younger half-brother. But i stopped smiling remembering my family is illegitimate, and my loving Dad is dead already.
"You will be fine." I heard him so i just nod and keep the photo with me.
We dragged ourselves at the drawer searching for anything. We saw pieces of newspapers, notes and a piece of recording CD with something written in its top side.
"I cant believe this." He uttered that made me look at what he had found.
"The investigation told everyone that he used his own guns and weapons to kill the two young policewomen. He is the highest sheriff, and the head sheriff owns a gun that is far different from the lower sheriffs and commoner police persons. Unless, they will purchase out those guns from the United States' Weaponry." He explained.
He put those two guns and a knife found in the drawer into a neat plastic bag and hold my wrist and said, "Lets go."
He dragged me out of the basement with those things inside our bags and find the guy still waiting at the doorway, tied.
Wentworth get him up but he stopped him."Go now. It will be a great trouble if my grandmother found you here. Dont untie me. I might find a reason and strength to hit you guys up." He said looking at us directly.
I looked at Wentworth waiting for his decision.
"Fine but i am untying you still." He said emotionlessly.
Just like a single snap, he untied him out. I watched his movements, if he is planning to hit us but we are all wrong.
He unlatched his necklace from his neck and grabbed my hand as he put the lace into it.
"Give this thing to Mr. Jonathan Ingrid. If ever he'll make it out of the jail soon, we are going to accept him back again to our home." He said and run away.
I looked at him running away before i feel a hand pulling my wrist.
