Dr. Grey Will See You Now

Chapter 42: Madison wakes up.

The nurse came out and went over to Kris.

"Dr. Grey is out of surgery." She says to him.

"Is she okay?  The babies?" Kris asks.

"All three of them came through it like champs.  Madison is asking for you so come with me. "The nurse says.

Kris follows her back into the  cubical Madison was in.

"We are waiting for a room on the surgical floor.  As soon as we have a bed we will let you know.   The doctor has already made arrangements for you to stay with her." The other nurse says.

"Thanks." Kris says.

Madison was still fluttering her eyes.

"She may be a little groggy at first but she will soon be fully alert." The nurse says.

"Kris." Madison says.

"I am here baby." Kris says taken her hand.

That was when he noticed her engagement ring was gone. 

"Where is her ring?" Kris asks the nurse.

"Oh we have it locked up in our safe.  Before she goes up to her room we will give it to you." The nurse says.

"Can I have it now?    I want to put it back on her finger if that is okay." Kris says.

"Sure sure let me get it." The nurse says.   She goes and gets it giving it to Kris.

Kris slips it back on her finger where it belongs.   He then kisses her hand.

"Kris." Madion says again.

"I am here baby and I am not going anywehre." Kris says.

"Kris I forgive you." Madison says.

Kris  kisses her hand again multiple times.   He just prayed that she would remember what she said and it wasn't just the affects from the surgery.

A few minutes later Madison opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was Kris.    She reaches up touching his face running her hands along the scruff that was growing on his face.

"Hey baby." Kris says.

"I had to make sure you were real and not just a dream." Madison says.

"I am here baby and I am not going anywhere." Kris says.

"Good." Madion says.

"Do you know what happened?" Kris asks.

"Yeah I was shot and I shot Brantley.   If I didn't he was going to kill me and the twins and I couldn't let that happen." Madison says.

"It's okay baby Brantley will never hurt you again.   He is dead." Kris says.

"I know oh god the twins?" Madison says.

"Perfect as can be.   You three were champs." Kris says.

"You and them are what got me through the surgery.   I could hear what was going on around me but all I could see was you.   I saw all our memories from the time you came into my office until you told me about Liz.   I also saw our wedding baby we are going to get married and the twins its a boy and a girl.  I saw you holding them and Micah kissing them." Madison says.

"Wow baby." Kris says.

"I know that sounds crazy but it happened." Madison says.

"No baby I believe you." Kris says.

"Oh Kris I have to tell you I forgive you baby.   I love you and I forgive you.   It might take some time to gain my trust in you back but I am willing to give it a shot because you are worth it.   Our twins are worth it." Madison says.

"God baby you don't know how happy I am to hear you say that.   You said it to me before you opened your eyes but I didn't know if it was from the surgery or you meant it." Kris says.

"I love you Kristopher Allen Letang the stubborn ass you are and I love you flaws and all." Madison says.

"I love you too baby." Kris says softly kissing her.

"Excuse me but I just wanted to let you know Dr. Grey has a bed." The nurse says.

"Okay what room is she going to?" Kris asks.

"Room 458." The nurse says.

"Thanks." Kris says

A little bit later they wheel Madison up to her room.   They get her settled and then leave.   Kris gently climbs in beside her as she gently moved to lay on his chest.

"Please tell me you are staying?" Madison asks.

"Yes I am staying baby.  Now close those pretty eyes and get some rest." Kris says kissing her head.

Madison closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep.

Kris watches her sleep.   He pulls out his phone texting Sid letting him know what was going on.

"So it's been a crazy 24-48 hours since I left DC.   I was in a car accident (I am okay), Madison was attacked by her rapist, she was shot (She is okay in hospital after they removed the bullet but doing well along with the twins) and Brantley died." Kris texts Sid.

"Damn Tanger that sounds like something that happens on General Hospital." Sid replies.

"I know right.  Congrats on the win btw and the two goals!  Good luck Sat man.  WIll be watching." Kris sends back.

"If Madison is up to it you both should come on Monday as my guests." Sid sends back.

"Will think about it.   Get some sleep and I will keep you updated." Kris says.

"You too.   Give Madison my love and tell her me and they guys will be thinking of her." Sid says/

"Will do." Kris says.

He puts his phone on the nightstand and lays his head against Madison's falling asleep too.
