Chapter 46: Rehab day

Madison had to get up early she had rounds at the hospital and then she had a lot of appointments before she could even head to the arena to work with Jasmine and Kris on his Rehab.   She goes to get up but Kris wouldn't move to let her up.

"Kris baby I have to go get ready for work." Madison says kissing him trying to get him to let her go.

She tried to pry herself out of his grip but can't.

"Kris I have to get a shower baby come on let me go." Madison says kissing him again.

"Mmm." Kris moans in his sleep.

Finally she applied slight pressure in his crouch area saying "Kristopher Allen Letang I have to get a shower let me up".

"Jesus Madison." Kris says waking up.

"Sorry baby but I need to get a shower so I can go to work." Madison says.

"Okay but I am coming in with you." Kris says.

"Okay baby." Madison says.

She gets up and heads into the bathroom turning on the shower.   She gets in and Kris follows her.

"Baby I have to be quick.  So know funny business." Madison says.

"But you owe me baby for your little manuever." Kris says pouting.

"I will pay you back later baby okay." Madison says as he wraps his arms around her kissing her shoulder.

They ride it out.   They then quickly shower so Madison can head to work.

She dresses in her scrubs  kisses Kris and heads out to work.

Kris had a few things to do around the house before he headed to the arena for rehab.  A little bit later he actually heads to the arena to hang out with the guys before rehab.

"So glad you are here man." Sid says.

"Congrats on that awesome win Saturday night." Kris says to his teammates.

"Yeah it was awesome." Cullen says.

"Heck yeah it was.  Congrats Cullen, Phil, Jake and Geno on your goals and Carl so happy you are back on the ice." Kris says.

"Thanks man." Carl says.

"Yeah thanks Tanger." Phil and Jake say.

"And Marc-Andre you are doing awesome in the net buddy."  Kris says.

"Thanks Tanger." Marc-Andre says.

The guys head out to practice and Kris heads to the workout room.  Jasmine was wating for him.   Kris did his warm up stretches.

"Okay Letang its been almost three weeks post op lets see what you can do.  I want you to get on the treadmil and build up to a light jog for an hour." Jasmine says.

"Okay." Kris says.

He gets on the treadmil and starts it.  He set it to increase speed every two minutes until he got to a light jog.   He kept it at a light jog for 20 minutes before slowing back down.   Finely he finishes and does his cool down stretches.

"Okay Dr. Grey will see you now." Jasmine says.

Kris heads into the massage room where Madison was waiting for him.

"How is your neck baby?" Madison asks.

"Feels great." Kris says.

"Good.  I am going to order for you to get a follow up MRI tomrrow so I can see how it looks three weeks post op." Madison says.

"Okay baby." Kris says getting on the table.

Madison starts to massage in between his shoulder blades.   There were no knots or anything.

"Good job baby you are keeping the tension and knots down.  I mean a few kinks but that is okay." Madison says proud of them.

"I have been trying baby." Kris says.

"I am proud of you." Madison says working her way slowly up to his neck.  

Again there were no knots or tension.  A few kinks but that was it.    A few minutes later Madison finished the massage.

"Thanks baby." Kris says.

"Welcome." Madsion says.

Kris goes to change and then him and Madison head to the house.   Kris takes care of Ashes feeding her and letting her out.   Kris changes into his suit and tie and Madison puts on her Letang jersey and jeans.   They head to the arena to watch the boys play game three of round two.
