They had arrived in Ottawa for the two games there. While the guys were practicing Madison, Kris and Micah took a drive to Montreal to look for their family home for summers. They tour a few houses but non of them felt right. The last house they go to look at Madison felt something.
"Oh my god baby its on the water and its beautiful." Madison says.
"I agree the outside is beautiful." Kris says.
"Its a castle." Micah says.
"It looks like that don't it buddy." Kris says.
"Yeah. I like it." Micah says.
They head to inside of the open house.
"Wow this house is just wow. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside." Madison says.
"I agree. I love it." Kris says.
" I like it too. I will have my own room." Micah says.
"Yes you will buddy." Kris says.
"Let's buy it." Madison says.
"You sure?" Kris asks.
"Yes baby I am sure. It feels right. I felt it as soon as I walked inside." Madison says.
"Okay if you are sure baby. We will be spending a lot of time here during the off season." Kris says.
They go to talk to the real estate agent that was holding the open house.
"We would like to buy the house." Madison says.
"Really?" She says.
"Yes really. It's perfect. Our dream house." Madison says.
"Okay come with me and we will start the paper work." She says.
She pulls papers out of her briefcase along with a lap top computer.
She runs a background check on them and a credit check.
"Wow you are a professional hockey player and you are a neurosurgeon." She says.
"Yes." Madison says.
"Okay everything pans out." She says.
"The owners are ready to sell so if you can make the down payment we can push things along. However you guys would have to come back for settlement and to close." She says.
"That is fine we can do that." Kris says.
They fill out the paper work and Madison writes the check for the down payment the rest would be paid at the time of settlement.
They get into the cars smiling from ear to ear.
"Our first house baby." Madison says.
"Well technically our second." Kris says.
"No our first. Your house in Pittsburgh is not my house. We didn't pick it out together." Madison says.
"Baby it's your house too. Do you not like it? I could sell it and we could pick out one together." Kris says to her.
"No baby I love the house I am just saying it's not mine. "Madison says.
"Baby it's yours okay. Anything that is mine is yours." Kris says.
"Okay. When we get home I am going to put my apartment out for rent." Madison says.
"Why don't you just sell it baby. We don't need the money." Kris says.
"I guess I can sell it and use whatever I get for it towards the rest of the house." Madison says.
They were heading back to Ottawa happy.
"Okay we still have a few hours left until the game what do you want to do? "Kris asks.
"Explore Ottawa." Micah says.
"Okay lets go see what we can get into." Kris says.
They drove around looking for something to do.
