Do you know what happiness is
my darling?
It's the rays of the sun that kiss your face
On a June day
When the clouds burn white
And the wind melts into your skin
Do you know what comfort is
my darling?
It's the sound of the rain against your window
With the curtains drawn
While the cool breeze cleanses your body
And the droplets on themy window panes your mind
Do you know what sadness is
my darling?
It's the flower shivering before your eyes
On that cold winter's night
Curling into itself
To heal for the warmth of a future spring
And finally, let me ask you this:
Do you know what love is
my darling?
Why,
It's all those things wrapped up in one,
And a little less,
And a little more.
And that's why,
Though coated in mystery,
It's the most beautiful sight of all.
