Out of all the possible escenarios that could come out of asking that certain question, Yoongi was never prepared for this particular one. The strong urge to ask and get a real, honest answer from Jimin's very own mouth was too much to handle. Yoongi was prepared to get a slap across the face, maybe a confused look but he never once thought that he would receive a smile in return. The fact that Jimin had answered without hesitating was just unbelievable. Yoongi was overwhelmed with the emotions and his heart felt like it would eventually come out of his chest from beating so fast.
His dark eyes locked with the dancer's own soft brown ones, his mouth felt suddenly dry, a thousand things were at the tip of his tongue, ready to come out but the younger male's face made it hard for him to talk.
"Is your foot okay now?" Was the only thing he could manage to say, too scared to say anything else.
"Yeah, its fine."
Yoongi let his eyes linger on his face for a while, his eyes were beautiful just like he remembered them to be. His small nose still as cute. His cheeks were gone, a sharp jawline replacing them instead. His plump lips still as soft and kissable as ever. God knows how hard he supressed the urge to just plant his lips on his, forget everything that ever happened between them and just back to how they used to be back in college.
Even after all the shit they went through, the cheating, the lies, the pain, the death and the abandonment, Yoongi believed that they could still work something out. He believed that Jimin could forgive him for leaving, just how he forgave him for cheating. He believed that together they could have a future again.
"Good, god, this is- wow" he sighed, and shook his head, a light smile occupying his face in disbelief, "You, you look amazing Jimin!"
"Thank you? I guess, Yoongi-ssi," Yoongi smiled at him though Jimin coudln't see since he was too busy inspecting his foot and typing a message on his phone on the other hand.
"Will you be able to fix the song for me in a week?"
"Oh, yes! The song, of course, I'll fix it this weekend." Yoongi responded rather excitedly.
"Thank you Yoongi hyung... I can call you hyung right?" he asked.
"Of course! You can call me whatever you want Jimin, its not like five years change our friendship," Yoongi said enthusiastically. He looked up to look at Jimin when he realized that he stopped doing whatever he was doing with his foot, only to find the dancer staring at him like he had grown two horns on his head.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Yoongi asked worriedly, brows burrowed as he waited for a response.
"You said something about being friends for five years or something like that," Yoongi stared at him for a moment, confusion clouding his brain almost completely.
"Uh, yeah, friends.. we were friends in college Jimin , you know... before all that stuff happened." he said in a matter of fact tone, but Jimin continued to look at him with squinted eyes and furrowed brows.
"I- I don't remember you from college,"
"You said you knew who I was earlier," Yoongi said, "Why are you saying a different thing now?"
